Not a bad day, although didn't go 'as planned' lol.
• Popped into city centre and got things for hospital bag
• Emptied work bag 2
• Moved 'dumping ground' shelves into cupboard
• Ordered boxes for shelving unit to pick up tomorrow
Ended up falling asleep this avo but did have a gorgeous tea of piri piri chicken and sweet potato
Tomorrows jobs:
• pick up items ordered tonight
• tidy shelving unit (think its all junk)
• empty other work bag
• get OH to get box of hats / scarves down from loft
• fill new boxes
• tidy under stairs
• MUST PACK HOSPITAL BAG!!!
Kingfisher: I have fond memories of Rainbows and GuidesIs it still religion based (I remember as a child we attended church a lot)? It's something Id love to get involved with in the future but am not Christian or anything

Sadly my list didn't go so well yesterday either
I found tourist information only to discover they only open on a wednesday and a saturday in town which is NOT a day I am supposed to be driving there!! typical will have to wait till next saturday when oh can take us, he has fuel card so we use his at the weekend - have to make the best use as his tax code for the pleasure is crazy high!!
on the plus side though I have just managed to book our FIRST ever family holiday, only for 3 nights over a weekend but better than nothing down in norfolk in a caravan! you should of seen the OH face hahhahah, a carvan park he said... i have softened the blow slightly as there is a reptile house and zoo nearby, both of which he likes. im am excited to be going on holiday. Best start saving!I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
Well, back to school today here. Lovely to wake up and realise all the bags are packed and ready, no scrambling round to sort them at the last minute!
List today
1/ shopping list and shopping (Aldi or Sainsburys is the question...)
2/ coffee with friend - all our kids bar the baby are in school so we can do it uninterrupted by cries of "wipe my bottom Mummy!" etc...
3/ clear bookcase in living room
4/ put clothes away
5/ clean bathroom
6/ put picture up
7/ 2 shelves of fridge
Can't think of any more for today. But the most excellent news for the morning - all this running around decluttering and cleaning appears to be good for the waistline :-) I now weigh 1lb LESS than I did when I fell pregnant with Annie, and she's not quite 6 weeks old! Wahey! Still 25lbs to go to get back to where I was 5 years ago before any children...
Good luck with your lists today, peeps, my motivation for these things always flags after a couple of weeks, hope we can all keep going :-)
Brunettegirl, what's wrong with a caravan? That sounds like a great holiday! And my OH is into reptiles as well, he was watching NatGeo with big girl - she then announces she wants a black mamba as a pet. I did veto that one, you'll be pleased to hear!0 -
Double post for some reason?!?0

Can I join please? My one and only resolution this year is to be more organised.
I have 4 kids, 3 still at school and one at uni, one cat and a husband. I also have depression which makes getting motivated hard but I am determined that this year I won't let it beat me even if I can't entirely conquer it.
I have bought a diary and am keeping it updated even with the silly stuff like have I taken my multi-vitamin and how much change I have saved.
So for today:
Carry on with tidying the living room
Throw loads of stuff away
Washing
Sorting the astounding amount of coats and shoes we seem to have accumulated
Babysteps but I will get there.Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

Thanks everyone for advice. I always manage daily jobs - tidy, Hoover iron etc but its the odd bits where I fail.
Thanks for the link chickywiggle I have bookmarked to read your diary later.
I think I will probably still pinch ideas from all your lists though:)
Ok off to clean out the fridge and see what's actually in there:eek:. This is one area I need to improve (hate cleaning it, always end up with cuts and scratches from sharp edges of shelves). X btc0 -
I got fed up of waiting for everyone to get up this morning so nipped into town whilst they slept to get jobs done. Had to get birthday cards for all January birthdays but all hallmark cards were reduced to 39p each so got some nice relative cards which should have been nearer £3 each.
I need to sort out a new account for my DD after the savings bond account my parents took out for her reached maturity. Having checked the kids saving pages this morning I visited Yorkshire Bank only to find they have stopped doing the account mention in Martin's pages so will have to restart my search.
I'm going to sort the weekly meal planner this afternoon ready to do an online shop in time for tomorrow's pay day :-)
Talking of cards -
In the chain of shops called 'The Card Factory' - they have a great offer where you can get 8 cards for a £1 or the nicer cards ^ for a £1 before xmas they even done 10 for a £10.0 -

I loved caravans as a kid, not done it as an adult but have no problems my OH on the otherhand is a total SNOB! think its more about who might be at the park than the caravan i suspect. But I just said its a nice cheapish holiday near the norfolk broads - of which i have fond childhood memories and on our current budget its the closest we are going to get to a broads holiday. I am hoping if I save some money we can at least hire a boat for a few hours, may have to tie henry to the boat though
lol I worry what pet henry may decide he wants, he loves spiders and lizards eekkk!I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
Trying to get alot more organised today. First day back at work - and I work from home! Having to make sure that I split my time properly. No doing housey stuff whilst I'm working but making sure I give myself a proper lunchtime that can be used for getting jobs around the house done :-) Its not really a 9am - 5pm job as I don't really clock off - we still have people phoning on an evening etc - the majority of paperwork/admin stuff I make sure is done during school hours so I can be flexible once the kids come in.
This morning went really well as far as getting ready for school goes. I've promised myself that on a morning I help the kids rather than do all the odd jobs - loading washing machine, unloading dishwasher etc but this morning I did have another mouse to sort.
I'm getting more and more freaked out by them. The first one looked quite cute - this morning's didn't and I'll be a nervous wreck if there is another one tomorrow. I've also put two lots of traps down now - can you imagine my horror if there are two in the cupboard tomorrow!!0
