Thank you! I am sooooo excited!! Will be sorting out where we can visit and what we can do just need to organise my spending to find away to save some money with oh knowing so he can save some too and we will have more, but my money is not much as it is - special budget is needed.I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -

But I just said its a nice cheapish holiday near the norfolk broads - of which i have fond childhood memories and on our current budget its the closest we are going to get to a broads holiday. I am hoping if I save some money we can at least hire a boat for a few hours, may have to tie henry to the boat though
lol I worry what pet henry may decide he wants, he loves spiders and lizards eekkk!
As someone that runs a caravan park - I'd like people to know that there is nothing wrong with caravans OR the people that stay at the parks. I think its really insulting for people to think there is.0 -

Reasonably practical day
[strike]
• pick up items ordered tonight
• tidy shelving unit (think its all junk)
• empty other work bag[/strike]
• get OH to get box of hats / scarves down from loft[strike]
• fill new boxes
• tidy under stairs[/strike]
• MUST PACK HOSPITAL BAG!!! - have laid out on bed, just to check with OH that he thinks I've remembered everything
Tonight I'm going to pick up an eBay item and then enjoy a night at a friends0 -
Everyone's doing so well, well dOne! I've managed to achieve a lot! Even managed to completely blitz the utility room!! It's needed doing for months but I've only just been organised enough to do it! Also managed to take stuff to charity shop, thank goodness I didn't go any later, as I left they stuck a sign up saying no more donations! Have to try and get some work on my assignment done tonight, so no more sorting, but back to it tomorrow. Am really chuffed I'm managing to achieve so much.... And.... I'm secretly enjoying it!!! Shhhh don't tell anyone, OH will think I've gone insane!
Right best text my friend, speak soon xx0 -
Hi all :hello:
Sorry I've been away... Been feeling terrible! Went to the docs and turns out I've got a kidney infection so yay lucky me (not!) Anyway I've got nothing done...
OH had today off work (probably me being a shivery shaky wreck in the night and couldn't even open the paracetamol left him with doubts about my ability to look after 2 toddlers) and he's blitzed the cleaning and all the cooking and making sure I eat even though its hard to. I'm a lucky lady
Can't remember who asked but my rabble are 10,8,8,2 and just 1!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I found tourist information only to discover they only open on a wednesday and a saturday in town which is NOT a day I am supposed to be driving there!! typical will have to wait till next saturday when oh can take us, he has fuel card so we use his at the weekend - have to make the best use as his tax code for the pleasure is crazy high!!
on the plus side though I have just managed to book our FIRST ever family holiday, only for 3 nights over a weekend but better than nothing down in norfolk in a caravan! you should of seen the OH face hahhahah, a carvan park he said... i have softened the blow slightly as there is a reptile house and zoo nearby, both of which he likes. im am excited to be going on holiday. Best start saving!
Where in norfolk are you going, I live about half an hour from the coast so could help if you needed any ideas.0 -
Gilly, you must live near me, I live about 20 minutes from the coast and just by the broads.0

[STRIKE]1/ shopping list and shopping (Aldi or Sainsburys is the question...)
2/ coffee with friend - all our kids bar the baby are in school so we can do it uninterrupted by cries of "wipe my bottom Mummy!" etc...[/STRIKE]
3/ clear bookcase in living room
[STRIKE]4/ put clothes away[/STRIKE]
5/ clean bathroom
6/ put picture up
7/ 2 shelves of fridge
Not so productive - am going to have to try harder tomorrow! Baby clinic to get the mini monster weighed and then home to get organised. I've made tomorrows packups, and put bags by door and laid out uniform. I should really go and wash up, but cuddling the baby is more fun.
Am v jealous of those of you living near the sea - I think we live as far from the sea as possible :-( I used to live in Whitby and I miss being near the sea.
Delain, hope you feel better soon - I only had one once and OMG the pain was awful! 5 sounds like a wonderful handful. Annie is only 6 weeks and OH is already talking about number 4... We'll see!0
