LiveLoveLaugh I'm wondering whether you or anybody else with more than one child can give me a little advice?
I need to sort out DD's toys and, as we do hope to have another one day, I'm wondering how much is worth keeping? I have the attic space to store it but does a second child play with toys their sibling is playing with or are the age appropriate toys worth hanging on to?
Am trying to have a major clear out after experiencing just how many presents children receive lol:heart2:DD born 11/04/12 :heart2:
Weight loss 8/32lb (to reach wedding day weight - 23/07/11)
£2013 in 2013 - £59/£20130 -
we kept some of DS1's toys for DS2 but he didn't really touch any of them. big brothers toys were FAR more exciting.
saying that it depends what the gap is..... if DS1 will be at school 5 days a week then age appropriate toys can come out then and get the tactile experiences associated with them.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Thank you. We're hoping for about two years between them but you never know. I think I'll keep the majority/favourite ones and pass on the rest. There's just so many :rotfl::heart2:DD born 11/04/12 :heart2:

and the minute you try to sell them they WILL become their only favourite toy in the world from which they cannot be parted.
E-bay update:
winning bidder no longer wants the item!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad:
Thankfully I have 2 who missed out on it due to them and can offer 2nd chance............wonder if either will accept.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

My day has been ok so far. I have
* posted cross stitch pattern to Poohspals
* bought toilet rolls - essential when we only had two left in the house!
* put washer on
* put dryer on twice
* loaded and put dishwasher on
* emptied dishwasher
* decluttered stair basket - it was really shameful. There were loads of old receipts, several odd bits of paper for recycling, £2 coin, a few old CDs (might listen to them later
), 3 packs of fabric pens for Brownies, a pack of Christmas cards (bought last year), odd tissues, three books, several pieces of ribbon, one long roll of ribbon, a tin of buttons, and a bag containing a pair of wooden clogs, a Canadian guiding magazine, a small pair of castanets, several pictures of inspirational women from an old guiding project, and a pack of paper clips! I didn't know the basket would hold so much!
* decluttered stairs (more junk)
* emptied four shopping bags from yesterday and put away
* decluttered a bag of guiding stuff that had found its way into the bathroom
* bought a nail care set from Boots, for my niece but from my mum
* put away four packs of sweets that I found
I even managed to avoid an argument with my ex. He sees the lads every Saturday, but always takes his daughter's side and never supports our son. Tonight she was pulling faces at the youngest, and I knows he is hard work anyway. Youngest asked dad to stop her from pulling faces. It was upsetting him, and dad just shouted 'He's got a right problem, he has!', about our son. I know pulling faces doesn't seem much, but she really upsets him and she winds him up every week. My son is supposed to put up with anything from her. So then, when he came into the house, I had tears to deal with - why does dad love her more than him? I just closed te door before my ex could say anything else.
Tonight I intend to write up a funding bid for our disability group, finish reading reviews on trip advisor, and put the washer on again. The reviews are about the Manor House Hotel and Ashbury Hotel in Okehampton - plenty for the kids to do, craft sessions and spa treatments for me, full board. Sounds great, but some poor reviews about the rooms and food. I can cope with cramped rooms, but not poor food. Oh decisions, decisions...........
Go for it hun! I got the brochures a while back after ds got excited by their tv ad- would be good for introducing him to different activities with the ability to retreat back to our room and try something else laterIt does look lovely,only problem I have is ds being so rigid with food we'd probably have to get it all elsewhere:rotfl:
Still considering it for Autumn or something though,will have to see though as our annual Haven hols are creeping up in price (around a grand for one week now:eek:) so would take some careful budgeting or using the savings I have left to go to the manor and Ashbury as well!!!
May pm you later for a tired rant,regarding my thread, later hun,if that's ok? xIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

He let me decorate the rooms but would a mural be different?Does it depend on the paint used?
I am in awe over how organised you all are.I cannot organise anything and feel life getting crazy and cluttered.
You can use all sorts of paint but go with emulsion so it's easy to paint over when you move.I don't think your landlord would like what I did in my old house-12 foot wide,ceiling high space mural painted on ds wall with tonnes of acrylic paint:D:o The family who have it now love it thankfully lol,I doubt they will when the kids grow and no longer want it:rotfl:
