Hi everyone and welcome to our new members onto the thread :)

Shegirl, you are welcome to PM me anytime and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I know how hard it is with a disabled child, alkthough my son doesn't have autism. My friend has a severely autistic child, though, who sounds very much like you son in some ways. Sometimes just having a moan or a rant can help to relieve a bit of stress, even if it doesn't actually improve things overall. So I would like to offer you the hand of cyberfriendship, if such a word exists :)

Some of you seem to be keeping up with everything quite well. Unfortunately I am not one of them :(. I have done very little today, just the essentails really. But never mind, tomorrow is another day, and the kids are back at school :D. Hopefully I can get a bit more done this week, but I must admit I'm not feeling very motivated at the moment. Time to give myself a serious talking to, I think :p

Thanks hun :) will do later when the emotions turn back on,you may understand from the single parent perspective too lol

If you want help with organisation and routine you can borrow an autistic...you'll be fixed for life:rotfl:

Mysk: Whats the bottom of a washing basket? Lol. I don't even have and Little Ones yet and I rarely see ours!

3 gorgeous kidlets here, and the laundry breeds! I have 2 baskets, one for adults and one for kids, and they fill up every time my back is turned. Add towels for 5, sheets for 5 and it is a proper mountain! Am proud of myself for getting to the bottom of it, and hopefully can keep on top of it now!

    Other things achieved today

1/ Registered for self assessment online
2/ Purchased new running leggings with a Christmas voucher - I love running and am starting up again once I've had my postnatal 6 week check next Tuesday. Back to the couch to 5k programme as I am proper unfit. 25lbs to lose...
3/ cleared the top of the chest of drawers in our room. A dumping ground no more!
4/ Made some proper plans for accessorising our bedroom. I think it will involve a fair amount of crochet.

Bedtime for me soon, and a relaxed day tomorrow before school starts for the older 2. Then onwards into my new organised life (although I'm pretty sure there will be slips along the way...)

Tomorrow is always another day, and hopefully I can keep myself motivated longer than mid January, which is normally where I fail :-)

I'm going offline now but will check back tomorrow shegirl. Single parent perspective - oh yes, I can probably understand that. The way my ex has been recently, well, let's just say :mad::mad:

Your last line shows that you aren't beaten yet. You still have a sense of humour, but I know there will be times when it seems even that has gone. Take care, and I'll check in tomorrow x

Mysk, you're putting us all to shame. Well done on everything that you are getting done. Have a good day tomorrow x

    Night everyone x

Xmas tree, decs and xmas crockery/cutlery put in loft for next year.

Following argument with 12yo son tonight about what week he is on (school have a 2 week time-table) his timetable has been copied into a spreadsheet, laminated and stuck to wall next to new organiser calendar. Days PE kit is needed have been hi-lighted in colour.

Pack up for DH, DS and DD done.

Aim for this week, to get all downstairs done before Fri morning.

I'm desperate to get the whole house sorted, organised and scrubbed before LO arrives.

Come on nesting! Please kick in, hehe :)

Mums: Having just looked back through my list I've realised each job actually splits into about 5 other jobs!

For example tidying under the stairs splits into...

    • move out piles of stuff that have gathered
    • empty work bag 1 and sort out the massive pile of paperwork that I know 90% will be binned.
    • empty work bag 2 and find home for all gear that currently live in it (will be using this bag for hospital)
    • clean work bag 2 as its filthy, lol
    • find home for everything that has made itself 'home' on the shelving unit under there.
    • possibly find new home for shelving unit to stop it being used as a dumping ground

    Ok that's depressing!!
  • Ok so a bit later than I would have liked but started my list for this week...

1/Iron kids clothes & put away
    2/Take bags to charity shop
3/Phone current insurance company to cancel
4/Finish cleaning rota for household planner (that I started to make about a year ago!!)
    5/Buy new notebook & diary
6/Put things to sell on FB
    7/File all paperwork
    8/Start 2nd Purse
    9/Clear out emails
10/Sort through all our books piled on shelves in wardrobe
    11/Find a new, closer dentist
12/Phone up about football coaching for DS1

Not sure how much I will get done as DS2 has chicken pox and is a bit groggy & clingy and I'm not feeling to great either but most stuff I don't need to go out for so should be ok.

Xmas decs up in loft today and uniforms ironed for week for kids and shirts & trousers for DH, not much else done as our friends called round and I got distracted talking for a couple of hours but back to routine tomorrow as DS1 back at school so I am officially starting new organised me tomorrow.......:rotfl:
  • Not done any decluttering over the weeknd
I did get a wardrobe of a kind freecycler so i could finally hang my clothes only to discover when i got home that there is no rail!! so we have a wooden shelfing unit with no rail and missing the piece of wood that you would slot a rail into, so will have to see if i can find some wood and make a make shift end to connect an old brrom handle too - not happy :(

My list for this week is
    1. sort out under the bed
    2. sort out clothes
    3. paperwork
    4. toys sort out
    5. trip to charity shop with all things no longer needed
    6. take books already late back to the library
    7. update events folder
    8. visit tourist information for new leaflets
9.finish my meal planner (this seems to be taking a while!)
    10.sort out craft trolley
    11.sell old mobiles
    12. ebay ebay ebay really must put these baby clothes on ebay

well thats my plan for this week eekkk! I must add in addition i still have daily chores to do, and toddler classes so currently today is looking like

    1.wash up
    2. put washing on
    3 hoover
    4 get dressed/toddler dressed
    5. leave and drive to library
    6. visit tourist info for leaflets
    7. visit boots to check on online order
    8. visit phone shop and sell mobiles
    9. visit dentist
