Morning Ladies
So washing machine is on with 1st load of the day!
Might even peg it out as it is sunny and dry here today.
Started the declutter of my room last night but got distracted by the lure of mincepies and a cuppa.
Having a fry up for dinner tonight just for a change.
As for grocery shopping i tend to sit down and meal plan for the week, sometimes even longer, depending if i am feeling inspired or not.
I would like to batch cook but just never get the time.
Anyone have good tips on buying cheese in bulk, i find it v expensive and we go through it loads!!!!!!!!
Off to sort out bills and spending spreadsheets.

Afternoon all
we finally left the house today, and went to a friends for coffee.
Todays plan is to tackle the kitchen. So, i will do the dishes, then clean out the fridge freezer and the cupboards. I think it could be quite a time consuming job, so i will do it after dinner.0 -
My plan of the day:
1. [STRIKE]Ironing - 1 hour[/STRIKE] Managed 40 mins before I burnt my finger. Finger now bandaged up and ill do an extra 20 mins tomorrow if I don't manage it later this evening.
2. [STRIKE]Homemade parsnip soup with toast to make for lunch[/STRIKE]
3. New Monthly resolutions - baby steps rather than making New Years resolutions which will be broken. Look into blogging about my successes (or failures)
4. Out for a walk - DD1 is laid in bed feeling very poorly so this won't be done today.
5. [STRIKE]Xmas cards down and made into tags[/STRIKE]
6. [STRIKE]Bedding washed and dried[/STRIKE]
I've also managed to find room for all DD1's Xmas gift. DD2's will take a little more doing as she hasn't got much storage space in her bedroom.0 -
Afternoon everyone
Not too much being done today, although we have just got back from a carvery at the pub. OH has just started painting the hall and stairs,0 -
afternoon everyone!
Not done much today other than visit family and popped in to M&S to pick up an on-line order I made last week based on a great glitch on nightwear. Got 8 pairs of pjs (in total) for me, OH and DS for £38. Thats us sorted for the next 12 months!:D
Major planning needed for tomorrow - Im off work, so need to do the food shopping, clean the house for NYE and prep for DS's friend coming to stay for the night. Two 7 year olds for the night. Wine will definately be needed - off to put it in the fridge now incase I forget:D
Will try to get a start on the cleaning tonight - it will make tomorrow less frantic I think?Sealed Pot no 20110 -
Umm well planned to take decs down today - then a friend suggested the pub for lunch. 4 hours later .....!2015 £2 Saver #82

Hello Everyone. Please can I join in?
I'm trying to get better at the homemaker thing, since the fairly dramatic onset of MS in my 40th year, which led to me giving up the job I loved and becoming a 'SAHM'. Autocorrect tried to make that 'a sham', which perhaps sums it up. It's been a very steep learning curve, but already I've seen the impact of more structure and routine on my sons & husband, so bring it on!
I've shipped lots of stuff out to charity shops and my car boot is full again now.
2013 calendar has been up for ages, ready with school dates, birthdays, medical appointments and car (tax, mot, insurance) dates.
I've got into the habit of meal planning and ironing more or less up to date.
We're away for a few nights in the new year so I shant get started properly til we're home and school starts. Or at least this time next week...
I'll have picked up lots of idea from you all by then. :-)0
