Not sure shy I've left weds blank, might be a good thing though, I'm sure things will come up unexpectedly!0 -
Ok so I've put one load of washing away that was on the airer! I've learnt the art of folding it perfectly so no ironing out of that lot
Next load of washing in and on, will go on the airer overnight. All the boys Christmas presents now have homes other than the lounge floor.
Took my youngest to have his haircut.
Found some cashback I was due from Topcashback so have applied to withdraw that and will be paying that off one of my cards. Also had built up enough to withdraw £50 for You Gov surveys so will pay that off when it arrives too.
Bought a Christmas pudding ready for next year in Tesco sale - £2.50!
Haven't done any eBaying but feeling a bit too tired today, so it's going to have to wait.

:hello:Hi All,
Can I join please? Like the rest of you I feel like that this thread was created just for me! Lol. I reeeally want to be organised but I'm very easily distracted "Must get on with this ironing... Ooooooo, what's that interesting thing over there."
I started as a full time (mature, ehem) student in September and with 2 kids, OH, dog, cat and 2 tortoises as well as occasional part time work and general most-of-the-time distractedness it's been really difficult to get myself organised.
My aims for this year are:
Get on top of clutter by removing about 50% of the contents of my house. I'd like to eBay as much as possible to make some extra cash. Clothes and bedding and so on will be taken to the cash for clothes place if they're not really sellable.
Devise a system of staying on top of paperwork. There seems to be piles of the evil stuff growing in every room. I've got to commit to dealing with things as they arise instead of putting it in the optimistically named 'to-do' pile, which has become the guilt-laden 'you haven't done it yet, have you' pile.
I hope its not too early to say this, but I want to be really organised for next Xmas. I've already made a start and bought some bits to use to make some really cute presents for family and friends. But, in my current disorganised state the bits will end up in the 'craft cupboard', which is another of those guilt laden 'look at the money you've wasted on that' places. No more!
I used to be quite good at menu planning and food shopping but since starting at Uni it's all gone a bit awry. We had 3 takeaways in one week not long ago and then threw out a load of stuff from the fridge that had gone off. The shame. So that needs to start again. I will be more organised again, which should also save us loads of money.
I hate housework. It's so repetitive and it never ends! I do it, because I really dislike mess and dirt and clutter, but it feels like a constant struggle and I'm sure there must be a more efficient way to do it. It seems to take me hours and hours to do anything, but that's probably my very short attention span leading me away again. There's so much to do and I never know where to start so I just ignore it. Then I get stressed and shouty. Why can't people put things back where they belong??? Etc.
So the plan is to join the Flylady challenge and try and keep up!
Then there's all the unfinished projects around the house. Sooo many...
We're very good at starting things, at having 'brilliant' ideas and then losing all interest after about 3 weeks. Hence the 'craft cupboard'. And the shed with all the equipment needed to do every DIY job that needs to be done in the house just sitting there, daring us to pick them up. So, the house will be divided into months. One room or area per month and we'll spend a month finishing off all the little jobs and doing repairs and decorating and so on. There's 10 areas altogether including the dreaded loft and the garden so we can have a month off in summer and a month off at Christmas.
Think that's it? Well that's the fundamentals anyway. I'm sure ill think of more along the way.
I'm going to plug everything into the calendar on the computer and set up reminders and alerts to make sure I give myself the best chance of achieving these things.
Can't wait to start reading all about your journeys, and I wish everyone really good luck!! It's so hard being a Mum, so I'm pleased to be part of this fearsome group of amazing women! Go us!!

Hi all, I haven't read all of this thread but will be mainly lurking.
I've just taken all of the Christmas cards down, and converted about 20 into gift tags for next year. I was still wrapping on Christmas Eve and ran out of gift tags and had to resort to writing on address labels. I'm hoping this will save me some hassle and some money for next year.
There are still a few of the larger Christmas cards left over that tomorrow I will convert into Thank you cards for my 2 DD's to write - again saving me money - not having to go out and buy thank you cards. Another job ticked off the list!
Tomorrow I also plan to have a de-clutter of DD's clothes and get a few on ebay.0 -
Ok - apart from the grocery shopping today, and a wee quick tidy and vacuum of the l/ room and hall I've not done much, I did feed them all today right enough, but that's it.
I've loaded up a dark wash so I'll put that on before bed then dry and iron it in the morning.
Tomorrow I'd like to
Tidy away some stray Christmas pressies
Go through sons drawers and haul out stuff he's out grown
Make a start on de-cluttering our bedroom!! That may take some time
Make dinner at some point
Ohh and dust the glass tv table before it becomes no longer see through :eek:Don't try to keep up with the Joneses - Drag them down to your level - it's cheaper .0 -
Morning all...I have made a start already - dishwasher on, load of washing ready to go. Children are awake, so breakfast is next on the list.
I need to buy some milk in a bit, so I'll pop out into the wild weather - be nice to have a walk.
Then I am going to tackle the hallway; the bookshelf which seems to have accumulated a lot of junk, the shoe cabinet needs a sort out, and I now need to sort out the cupboards too - they have been out of use for a couple of weeks while we wait for Father Christmas to come.0 -
Hmm, so much for organisation. OH had the choice of brandy cream or breastmilk in his tea this morning... I relented and made hot chocolate instead!
Add "buy milk and bread" to list...0 -
Ok so I'm up. Boys have had their breakfast and I've changed one bed so one load of sheets in the washing machine.
Got some sausage meat out of the freezer for making some sausage rolls later and some macaroni cheese out for the boys tea.
Off to the pantomime this afternoon, well lunchtime ish so need to find something to do in the meantime!MBNA [STRIKE]£2,029[/STRIKE] £1,145 Virgin [STRIKE]£8,712[/STRIKE] £7,957 Sainsbury [STRIKE]£6,870[/STRIKE] £5,575 M&S [STRIKE]£10,016[/STRIKE] £9,690 Barclaycard [STRIKE]£11,951[/STRIKE] £11,628 CTC [STRIKE]£7,629[/STRIKE] £6,789 Mortgage £[STRIKE]182,828[/STRIKE] £171,670
