reading your posts has reminded me that I also need to sort the cupboard at the top of the stairs
off to check out how big a job it is going to be......Sealed Pot no 20110 -
I am really enjoying all your organising plans, I am a first time mum to a 3wk old and need to get my head around this planning and running a house hold thing! My OH has been a constant student with work placements, and finally starts a permanent full time job next month, so I will have to take full control of the house and be more organised to wash his work uniforms.
I love writing lists, and get massive satisfaction from crossing things off, can't wait it get started. I have already put all the Xmas presents away and sorted son's clothes into sizes, now I'm going to research junior ISA's ready for when I get him registered.Taking on the world one debt at a time!!!
Buy my car outright £0/£3300
Buy a caravan £0/£7500
Replace house windows £0/£50000 -
Haven't managed much today - been out and about - but I have done some general tidying up and chucking out of junk.
I can now see the surface of my desk (although I still have the filing to do!!) and later I will be doing the menu plan for next week. Just now, though, I've got to point the children in the general direction of upstairs and hope that they'll go to bed quietly (and soon :-) ).
Lots more planned for tomorrow...0 -
Ok, so the 4 of us went out for a meal this afternoon. I had a cocktail  came home, fell asleep for 1.5 hrs and when I woke up, hubby had done all the ironing and there's no pots to wash as we all went out and are still full. No hubby untidying place either this evening as he's no gone out with a mate for a drink as he was on soft drinks earlier. I like this organising lark.:rotfl::rotfl:0

oooh spendless, sounds like the perfect day!
I'm currently writing out my plan/routine whilst chomping through the christmas chocs and drinking tea, OH is getting a taxi home later apparently, not too late I hope as hes gone out without a key, idiot!
Ok managed to wash up, load the the dishwasher, clear and wipe down the surfaces, feed the baby and hang up the second load of washing. So not feeling all that bad. I could do more this evening, but theres a little part of me that says s0d it as OH is out enjoying himself. I know thats not the attitude to have but hey ho, me childish, never0 -
Thanks for remembering us - yes you are right she was born last November! You have a great memory! She is doing OK thanks, she had open heart surgery last month at Alder Hey and is recovering well. She is still a little tiddler (still in 0-3 month clothes at 13 months old) and her development is quite delayed, but her Consultant is happy with her progress.
That's intersting about how you Chemist works, I have to call them to order, but they do the rest and delivery the milk 2 days later so not to much hassle, just have to remember to order before it runs out!
If you don't mind me asking which milk is your Son on? My Daughter is on Infatrini for the extra calories, she is expected to be on this for a few years yet to catch her up.
Sorry for going off topic ladies!
Not done much today, had a coffee and breakfast out and we are slobbing this afternoon! Will have a good hoover later, and maybe do some ironing!
Hope all have a nice Saturday.
x
Hi Janninew, it's great that your daughter is doing well. Is the surgery her last operation or are more expected? It's really hard when your child has an op isn't it? I don't know any other feeling like it.
Don't worry about her size, she will probably have a few growth spurts when she is older. My son has been on a few different milks, but in recent years it has been Paediasure Plus. He will be 15 in April, and as he is growing quite well, I am hoping that his milk feeds will finish later this year.
I didn't realise that your daughter was treated at Alder Hey. That's where we go too, so we probably live in the same general area. I am in St. Helens.
Apologies as I have also gone off topic
The washing machine is on again, it seems never ending some days. The dryer is also on, and I am sat watching a film that I recorded weeks ago - a rare event! I think I am going to peel, chop and steam that veg I keep mentioning
I have emptied the dishwasher and started to refill it. My son made pasta for tea
I am also hoping to finish the chunky cross stitch that I started months ago. I don't get much chance to sew, but there isn't much left to do, so I am hoping to finish it this week. I keep saying that, though, so I might need a sharp elbow in the ribs to remind me to get on with it. It is a silhouette of Mickey Mouse on a cream background, and will only take a couple more hours to complete.0 -

Can I please ask where you got the pattern from? We are huge Disney fans in this house so would be great to stitch Mickey.0 -
I bought it as a kit, from Black Sheep Wools in Culcheth. It was reduced to about £12, so a real bargain. If you PM me, I can get a copy in the post to you in the New Year. It is a colour pattern, using only black, cream, grey and red, and can be adapted for ordinary cross stitch. I can't get to a colour copier before Thursday though.
BTW, it also has two red buttons to be stitched on once completed.
I know that you might not want to give me your address for safety reasons, so I understand if you choose not to do this.
Right, I have just searched in case you prefer to buy the kit. Here is the link:

It is very easy to stitch, except for being a bit bulky. I only have some of the stripes to finish.
ETA, there are a few Mickey chunky cross stitch if you google. I might stitch another once this is finished0 -
