Hi janninew, I hope your daughter is doing well. IIRC, she will be just over a year old now, as I think she was born in November last year.
My son has numerous medications, as well as prescribed high calorie milk, and it can be a nightmare to keep up with it all. My chemist, which is a branch of the Co-op, ring me once a month to check what meds my son needs. They then order the prescription for me from my doctor, collect it, and deliver everything the following week. It really does save a lot of work, and means that I don't run short of meds. I know Lloyds do the same for my mum. You just need to be home when the meds are delivered, but I have everything sent to my Mum's as she is usually home, whereas I am often out. It might be worth asking your chemist if they offer the same service, as it is definitely likely to lighten your load.
As for lofts, don't mention them, please! I have been intending to sort ours out for at least three years . Maybe it will be sorted, with the help of everyone on this thread, before this time next year. I can only hope0 -
Hi there,
Hope i can join in.
May just lurk as my family is so blooming time consuming lol;)
My kids are 19,16,6,3.
Love them to pieces
So the positives:
Meal plan is in place until the 8th of Jan.
School/nursery uniforms,pe kits, beaver uniform, swimming kit all in place.
Book bags packed.
Homework done and checked.
DD 3 AND 4 clothes and toys have had a declutter.
Bathroom and toliet are always clean. (easiest rooms to do lol)
The negatives:
I have issues with washing and washing up.
I never seem to have the time to clean my own room and find most things get dumped on my bed ie washing etc and not discovered till i go in there at bedtime and dump it all on the floor.
Changing bedding is v hit and miss i get confused lol. with 5 beds to change i get muddled.
Look forward to hearing all your stuffSIMPLY BE-££577.11:eek:

3 loads of washing done tonight. All ready to be tumbled tomorrow morning, then folded up therefore cutting down on non essential ironing. I have tried to make my kids do their own ironing, they are all older teenagers, but it is very hit and miss. Anyone got any tips on how to "encourage" them? I now don't do it so they end up going out in creased clothes which I hate!
Big tidy up operation is on for tomorrow - I may be gone some time!!2015 £2 Saver #82

Could I please join too? I'm a single, full time working mum to two boys 4 & 7. We have a small dog too.
I'm desperate to get my life I some sort of order this year, including finances.
Today I've managed to post my soa on the debt free thread.
Other stuff I managed to do was get all my admin for work up to date so I start the new year organised.
Dusted and vacuumed the house through.
My plan for the year other than sorting the finances is to keep on top of the house work and get the garden up straight (there will be a need for a lot of fence painting when the weather improves)
Also, declutter, rather than put piles of things to get rid of in the conservatory and hopefully get some extra pennies along the way.MBNA [STRIKE]£2,029[/STRIKE] £1,145 Virgin [STRIKE]£8,712[/STRIKE] £7,957 Sainsbury [STRIKE]£6,870[/STRIKE] £5,575 M&S [STRIKE]£10,016[/STRIKE] £9,690 Barclaycard [STRIKE]£11,951[/STRIKE] £11,628 CTC [STRIKE]£7,629[/STRIKE] £6,789 Mortgage £[STRIKE]182,828[/STRIKE] £171,670

I liked to join this thread.
I'm a SAHM to 4 kids, 3 at school & 1 in nursery.
I am so disorganised, I'm forever filling in forms in the morning, or running up to school with missing pe kits etc!
And the house is a mess and DH is Mr neat & tidy & organised
I'm determined to make 2013 work for me
- have joined Grocery Challenge to reduce our spending there, so must menu plan
- pay off my CC
- lose baby weight, she's 3yrs! I lost about a stone before Xmas, but have at least another stone to go, plus the lbs that I've eaten/drunk over Xmas
- couch to 5k
- declutter!!
Stop hanging out in Starbucks whenever anyone asks! Being at home with the kids this holiday I've really noticed how this eats into my time when they are at school, not to mention the ££ for the coffee.
I'm sure there's more but that's enough for now0 -
Hi, can I join you all please?
I need to get sorted for 2013. I have 3 kids under 7. The eldest two are busy with Brownies, dancing, football etc. plus I work 25 hours a week and run my fb business on top of that. So this year has been busy and stressful. Which Has made me feel exhausted, snappy and a bit down. So things need to change.
If I'm more organised I know I won't forget important appointments ( forgot loads this year) , be able to plan and cook within a budget, plan my time better so housework doesn't get in the way of playing and spending time with the kids.
I'm moving house on the 14th of Jan. it's over 200 miles away from here, so I won't have a job to go to yet. I'll be looking for a job with less hours, so should have a bit more time, but I don't want to waste it.
I always buy an Organised Mum diary. They drop to £5/£6 in a few weeks. I love the tear out shopping lists that you can add to all week, and the Christmas and birthday present lists etc. but I tend to stop using it half way through the year.
Hopefully by seeing how others are getting on, and some tips and motiviation I should have a better year x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

I've just started listing things to sell on Facebook. Much easier than selling on Ebay, but still a job hate doing. Oh well, hopefully it'll earn me some dosh!

2013 the year to be more organised0 -
Joining too. I have areas of my life where I keep on top of things, and areas which need sorting! So, looking forward to sharing tips.
Since losing my regular job a year ago, I'm an office temp, so I get stretches of no work and stretches of f-time work. I started a thread about me working f-time hours, as I hadn't done this since going on maternity leave with eldest and the overwhelming response was to make sure the laundry and meal-times were kept on top of. If I ever feel that the house is getting out of hand I concentrate on those 2 areas and I find this def works.
Have already took on board the post about doing a laundry load per day. Mr S irons, he told me whilst dating he found ironing therapeutic, so I married him.:D Though it sounds idyllic, the reality is huge mounds build up till he gets round to them, so this is something to be tackled in the NY.
Am also envious of the post about all the items in the hallway for the school-children, but I doubt the lay-out of ours can be re-rigged to incorporate this, but I will see if I can pinch some of the ideas.
Yesterday I sat down with my family organiser calendar and wrote down all family birthdays, next I'm going to dig out all related school letters and diary dates and put them on too.0 -
Oh, a quick tip for all of those with school age children who wear uniform to school.
Have a 'Uniform bag' that you keep in the same place all the time (mine is just a morrisons reusable bag-nothing special).
Put ALL clean uniform, plus 5 pairs of sock and pants per child into the bag on a Sunday, and then you never have to rush around in the mornings looking for clean unifrom/underwear for the kids
As soon as any uniform is clean and dried, it goes into the bag, so on a Sunday i just have to put the underwear in.
I also have a whiteboard that i use to mark out my week, to see what i have planned, when money comes in/goes out, my meal plan etc. I have a blog post about it, if anyone wants to check out my blog0
