    as for the asda birds......
im an ex asda employee and we had birds in our roof instore. A man used to come in every month to shoot them......YES SHOOT THEM!!!!
always on a sunday evening when shop shut (but i worked late stacking shelves)
anyway, hundreds of sparrows would come crashing down!
They had been there that long that these sparrows had become a rare species and couldnt be shot anymore! instead they just put netting up.
The girls on the deli regularly found bird poo on the ham/pies/pizzas etc! NICE!
one bird died in the roof space, rotted, got maggots, which fell into George dept and into a suit jacket pocket!
Management always told us to say 2we do know about the bird (singular!) and environmental health have been called to act on it!
i was there 15 years and still enviromnetal health didnt come!

    NO!

I didn't see whistle blower but I've heard plenty about it and along with this thread it's making me never want to shop in a supermarket again.

would you accept this as good enough???
as talulah_chicken says asda charge the company that makes them £40 so why should they profit £30 from my misfortune.
    What would you all do??
    thank you

  • Just a thought - why don't you print off a copy of this chat thread and send that to them along with your gift card. As soon as they realise that 4836 people have read about this I am sure that they will be very quick to sort it out!!!

£10 is appaulling - especially after you have chased them so hard for a reply to your complaint. Write to the MD directly - I think his name is Andy Bond. The address will be on the letter.

I wouldn't that is an insult!!!!

What are they doing about the actual complaint apart from giving you £10, scratching there backside and saying thanks for the £30 profit you made us?
