Quidco £50 is for a mobile phone.
Maybe just getting a SIM card doesn't qualify, so your tracked transaction has been declined when the phonespot discovered you didn't really get a phone.
The £50 from Quidco is for the purchase of a contract - any phone included with such a deal is thrown in as part of that contract. I ordered the Virgin SIM-only 6 month contract from The Phone Spot and the £50 is now showing as 'Declined'. They changed the rules after I had placed and received my order and now won't pay out. This space has been intentionally left blank0 -
The situation is made worse by the fact that the SIM cannot be returned since it is outside the 7-day return period
They have the best of both worlds: no quidco paid out for taking out a contract and also no possibility of returns. The cynical would say that they waited until they knew most customers could not return until they cancelled the Quidco
Is this the same with the 37.50 e2save customers?
Have emailed quidco to complain, maybe if they get enough complaints.....?0 -
unfortunately as some ppl (especially when comes to home/car insurance) will point out quidco is not guarenteed so don't always assume you will get it.
I am myself concerned as I took out a sim only deal with cpw a few months ago and is still tracking... but makes me wonder if I will get the quidco.ummm...0 -

That is your (wrong) interpretation.
It says in the Quidco page you are referring to:£50 for a valid completed application for a mobile phone
You haven't ordered a mobile phone, so can't complain at all.0 -
Apologies, Quentin - I stand corrected. I was erroneously looking at the Quidco page for e2save which says 'For a purchase of and completed contract'.This space has been intentionally left blank0

So is it still worth trying to get a virgin sim card with these guys?
sounds like a lot of hassle to go thru, and am unsure if they will actually honour the cashback. where did the E2save rep go? so many complaint, none addressed....hhmm0 -

Yes I do think i can complain because
when I ordered it said 50 pounds PER CONTRACT
it has subsequently been changedYou know what... you can't beat a good bargain!!!0 -
If the phonespot could afford to pay you £50 commission as well as all your £90 back on a 6 month contract then we should all be in the SIM selling business.
Don't lose too much sleep over this. Don't think you will get £50.
They do pay £7.50 now for a virgin sim only which does seem a good deal.0 -

Yet they can however pay you £50 via Quidco, £240 back on your line rental and throw in a free Motorola L6
Thanks to BargainHunter too for pointing out that it did say £50 for the purchase of a contract. This space has been intentionally left blank0 -

Presumably the commission they get for providing a 12 month contract customer (and giving the customer a phone) is far more than they get for just providing a £15/month customer for just 6 months, with no free phone.0
