Mum hit by car at petrol station

Disagreeing with a relative doesn't mean they are wrong or you are right. If ops mum can see a professional for a check up that's great. But if she wishes to not take it further then she is entitled to , as the victim, do just that.
After all the point of pursuing it if there is nothing finically to gain is to punish the person to ensure it doesn't happen again. If this guy was in tears after it and understood he made a crucial error then it's likely he will remember this and learn from it.0 -

No, the point would be to prevent her losing out financially in the future. It's not about ambulance chasing, just protecting herself. If she requires ongoing care or treatment, this may well involve significant costs - costs that the driver pays his insurance to cover. It's there for a reason, it should be used.0 -
I think it should be reported, more because of the careless driving issue. It is not an acceptable excuse to say you were having a bad day so that is why I drove my car into you!
The driver needs to go on a refresher course with emphasis on driving with due care and attention. It could have been a child he hit with far more serious consequences.0 -
and the NHS will provide such treatment0

And now for the imbeciles, whose lives are so pathetic they can do nothing better than gang up together on the internet.
Still melbell, Slowhand and Idiophreak, if it gives you some sense of self-worth it's not all bad. Merry Christmas.0
