Mum hit by car at petrol station

You know what, This is a quick "Can I get compo............for my mum you see" thread Just admit it OP
Well if you (without knowing me) assume that how sad. How very sad. I came on here to get advice for a situation I have never come across before. To point your finger and acause me of gold digging Is quite frankly offensive. I don't use words like "compo" as you say. Please don't put me in that bracket of people.
I am sure most of you here will know where I am coming from. At least I hope they do.0 -

Still melbell, Slowhand and Idiophreak, if it gives you some sense of self-worth it's not all bad. Merry Christmas.
They will all be visited by 3 ghosts tonight.0 -

WHAT DO YOU WANT? Was your mum/the driver/the till attendant/ the guys around negligent...tell us what you think?
It seems obvious, to me, what the OP wants. Some advice as to what to do and who to tell! If I was in that position, I would be wondering how best to deal with it. Me personally, wouldn't want the driver to get in to any trouble if nothing serious comes of this, but would surely want justice should my mother take a turn for the worse.
If I was you, OP, I think I would tell the police. State that you don't wish to press charges, but you want it on record.
Hindsight's a marvellous thing, but they should've been called immediately. The driver could've been drinking or anything! (Retrospective advice is never helpful, I know - but at least do the right thing now. Call the police).0 -

Does she have no say whatsoever in this matter?0 -

Merry Christmas to you too.
Oh sorry, I'll translate that for you.

I know mum doesn't seem fussed, but how would she feel if she saw on the news the same fella/car had knocked a child down and killed them due to 'tiredness' as it wasn't nipped in the bud from the early warning sign of this incident. Maybe the Police etc would just give him a telling off, but it might be a spark of realisation for him.0
