How fast can you go driving out of a petrol station? If your mum is not seriously hurt he can't have been going that fast.

Of course that's no excuse for hitting her in his car. You should have reported it to the police. He may have been over the limit. Plus if your mum needs medical attention his insurance should pay or it.

I assume you have his details?

  • On the 'upside' there's generally no shortage of CCTV at a petrol forecourt.

Can't see anywhere else where to post a legal issue so here goes. I have just found out that my Mum was walking to the till after filling up her car when a driver leaving going fast hit her and knocked her up into the air.

She needs to be checked over ASAP.

She had a heart bypas ten years ago and also has just had the ones in her foot broken and reset because of arthritis in her toes. She has only just got over all the pain of that. She says she will have 48 hours to report it and see how she feels tomorrow.

As a lot of doctors will be closing over Christmas, it's worth calling in early to try and be seen, at least to save lurking around at a walk-in for hours if it gets worse over the next week or so.
Hope your mom is ok though!

If she sustained any kind of head trauma, then she might be feeling fine right now. She really should be checked over at A&E

  • So is she on pain killers now ?
I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.

Yes, I think so as she had swelling in her foot which is why she might not be feeling pain.
