Ironically this thread caused me to complain about the late delivery this week - they extended my membership by a month.
I really do make the most of prime though, so I don't mind paying it.
The worrying this is I took this out in November originally, they have, with this extension moved its expiry to June. That means in Two years I've had six extensions...that puts a really different perspective on it when you see it like that...0 -
I had to go look at my order history after you quoted numbers, oh the shame lol
2012 - 108 orders
2011 - 191 orders
:eek:0 -
If the item doesn't arrive in time then complain about it. You can probably get money back for the order or get an extra month free.0

I don't mind quite so much when it's something like a £4 book (even though I pay for guaranteed next day delivery which should mean exactly that). In this case it was a £25 video game so I had my fingers crossed they'd use a proper service.Wanted to play it this weekend.
I've sent Amazon a stroppy email as this has now happened with my last three orders in a row.
I did get a free month recently but that was after an order was lost in the post and they had to send a replacement.
cheaper yes,but Tracked is a relatively cheap service for companies with the turnover of Amazon0 -
Their turnover is irrelevant to delivery as that is a variable cost.
The turnover is not irrelevant. A company with a large turnover will have a large volume of orders. The larger the volume of orders that require dispatching means a better price per unit can be negotiated with the carrier. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. RM cannot refuse to accept mail
They wouldn't anyway
packet by 1st class, tracked,SD or whatever is still a packet in the system0 -

It's true that they may get a somewhat better price but in terms of what custardy was talking about it's irrelevant.
You are talking about a service that costs many times the standard first class price and that is not going to change because of a 'quantity discount'.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0
