Not read all the thread, so don't know if the owner has put his side.

There are at least two sides to every story.

We have no idea of how the OP approached the owner.

    As an example

OP : Your website says you are open to 6

Owner : Sorry, but we don't have a website

OP : The information is wrong, give us some food.

Owner : Sorry, just in the process of shutting up, everything has been switched off.

OP : What sort of customer service is this?

Owner : I'm really sorry, if you'd rung to let us know you were coming....

OP : Well as you've messed me about at least let us use the lavatory.

    Owner : Oh do one.

    It happens.

This is only an example, characters are not knowingly based on anyone.

What a whole load of tripe - we were extremely polite but your mind is made up and rigidly fixed, so another baying hound to add to the ignore list!

The funny thing is that I actually am a Barrister in my day job, whereas my wife is a Barista. Am I always nice and respectful in my day job? Probably not, to be honest, but I'm not in the hospitality business. I'll put it to you this way: my wife came an watched one trial in which I represented the defendant, and hasn;t been back since because she didn't like me very much.........

Oh dear, that must have been upsetting, I guess in our jobs we are playing our role and as you say, it isn't the hospitality business!

    What is a Barista?

can i just ask without being called names or anything else,(i just want to understand how you feel) how was he to know that you were travelling? did you mention this to him?
i maybe wouldn't have served you food or drink as he was getting ready to close but i would have let you use the loo (what was he expecting you to do to it? pee all over the floor?)
i must say though you seem to be getting very upset by all this, calm down and remember that he's not worth it, even if he gave bad service.

I am upset that people think bad service is acceptable, accusing me of being nasty for saying so and for disagreeing with them!

Trust me this man was not human - we were nothing but pleasant to him but he was a nasty little man. I have encountered nicer vatmen!

    My mind isn't made up.

I was just suggesting that there are two sides to every story.

However as you seem to just be an angry person, my guess is you messed up and now feel agrieved enough for your mind to have changed the story to fit you being nice.

As I'm on ignore, you wont read this, so why did I type it?

It is not on ignore as it won't work - I am angry at people thinking bad service is OK and I haven't messed up. I still think bad service is unacceptable and stand by everything I have said!

What you wrote was so off track as to what happened, unless it was meant to be funny, in which case, hee hee!:D

Bad service isn't acceptable. However it takes two to tango. I was just trying to put that across. And also that you may have slightly rose tinted glasses on your own behaviour.

If it was funny well done me, it was an alternative point, that was all.

You whole, I'm right and everyone is wrong attitude, is probably not helping. Try counting to 10.

I am sorry but I don't see your place in judging me in this harsh way - you don't know me and you weren't there!

It seems like everyone is else allowed to state their opinion and judge me harshly, yet I am nasty if I state my opinion about bad service and defend myself to people who think this is OK - call this a democracy?

    How have I been harsh?

Who has said you are nasty?

Have you considered you may be a little paranoid?

I think it best if I join everyone else and leave you to it.
