the rest, you accept bad service in the UK!
I can assure you I don't, and I have remained polite and made no personal comments or insults to you.
I merely expressed my opinion on what you posted in your first post. Last time I looked, expressing an opinion was still allowed on MSE as long as one is nice to all moneysavers.0 -

I agree and it is a shame some of the others haven't been so nice! Why would you think I was attacking you?
My opinion is you must have low standards if you think the way we were treated was acceptable tho'
My opinion is I despise bad service from businesses and the vent board is the place to say so!
My reply is that if people wish to accept bad service without question, then it is their problem! It is sad that if people think it is OK, then the country will always have a bad reputation for service.
I cannot see anything nasty in saying that and it is MY opinion or is only everyone else allowed that?An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I agree too! Remind me again who has called people trolls, a d/head & a h/banger?
H/banger? I have never heard of that one
The owner of the place is a d/head and if the cap fits!
Methinks secretly people are giving bad service and don't like being exposed!
Stop taking things to heart - I am complaining about a tearoom. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

CCStar, I do think the owner was being unreasonable. He could have explained to you that he could only offer you cake and tea as they close at 5, and would that be OK? Then you would know you would have to leave by 5 and it would have been up to you to decide if you could eat/drink in that time IYKWIM
Still, the business is closing. The owners are taking the name of the tearoom with them, apparently, so we'll know to avoid ANY tearoom ANYwhere with this name :-)
Not sure why people started giving you a hard time (this is the Vent board. Isn't it?). If you suspect that people are trolling, remember the saying: DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.
Thanks penrhyn for the alternative suggestion.0 -
CCStar...can you supply the tearoom website link?0

One question.
If this is the vent board and a poster wishes to vent their spleen about bad service, attitude or whatever, why do others have a go?
If you don`t like the opinion of the poster, then don`t reply.
It really is very easy.
Labman, do you want the web address so you can further wind up? Let it go, life is too short for this.

So are you suggesting we can only post if we agree with the OP?0 -
I've asked for the tearoom website link only in order to come to a balanced view...sorry if that is wrong here.0
