Ebay...mis-sold...WTD now?

He has said that he has called ebay and sent them photos of the thing that he didn't have on his listing (as in additional photos) and they have apparently 'sided' with him.
Do you think he's telling the truth?
Also, becoming increasingly rude and just horrid really.
In the resolution centre it says 'respond' am i allowed to just ignore him?
He is trying to get me to explain how it could have been damaged and because i'm not answering that particular question he's getting narked and calling me all sorts!
All i want is for him to sign to get the goods back, then get my money back! i don't even care at this point about my return postage he's being so horrible.DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
Aha, some sucess re sending photos - if you reply to a message sent then there is an 'attach photos' link just above where you actually type the message.0

Don't worry about what abusive emails they are sending you, they are just trying to bully you into not following the complaints procedure. Don't worry about getting into long drawn out arguments with them, just do what you have to with Ebay to get your SNAD completed.
Make sure you upload the tracking number into the complaint.
I believe Ebay can use this to see if delivery has been attempted so he can't just refuse the delivery to avoid paying you.
Hopefully in a few days your money will be refunded.0 -
Thanks cootuk, i'm just really worried about it:(
It's not a small amount of money otherwise i would just write it off, he's just being a right n0b.
I'm just going to ignore him now because he's getting me all upset. Everytime i see there is a new message my heart lurches which is really stupid really:o:o as i'm normally quite strong (think i'm hormonal at the moment! :rotfl:)
I guess he has to prove it wasn't damaged when he sent it, which his original listing doesn't do (it could be an old picture, which it obviously was)DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
As long as you have adequate insurance and a signature then you should have no difficulty getting a refund.
What I said about ignoring - I've never been through this (the most aggro I've had on eBay aside from trashy items bought which I've just written off was when someone took two weeks to send something and I had to neg to get their attention - but that did bring them to their sense a bit) and if it is possible to respond, don't provoke him or read his responses fully - just persevere with the dispute and add the tracking number ASAP as suggested."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

It's hard though seeing as he has sent me quite a few messages. I will try and ignore him if i can.
Btw i see you are from Reading, i have family thereif i get my refund i will send you something for all your help

Dont get drawn into conversation about how it could have been damaged. He is trying to trick you into admitting the damage isnt his fault.
Your case is that it is not the model he advertised and you bought, just stick to that. If you havent already, just update ebay with the tracking number and ignore any messages he sends you. As soon as the parcel company update the online status to delivered you can claim your refund through ebay i believe.0 -
You mentioned a couple of times you can't post the messages here, and you can - there's no reason why not. I know it's not needed, but just in case you want to get clarification or anything at some point.
Please do just ignore him. It's likely you will lose your return postage, because there is no quick enforcement of it through eBay, but you'll get the rest when it tracks.
What does the tracking say currently? Have you put the tracking in and called eBay?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -

Thanks for replying. Looking at the ebay sticky at the top it says not to discuss disputes so i don't think i'd be allowed to post up what he has written.....
The tracking says 'in progress'
Yesterday it said 'accepted'
The post office lady said it will probably get there tuesday.DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
