I think this sealed pot thing is becoming infectious.
My OH earlier this year decided he would put any spare £1 coins and any £5 notes he got in a sealed pot (glad he had the momey to spare). He's counted up and has just over £350 to put in his ISA. And as he commented, he didn't miss it at all...he would have ust frittered it away if it was in his pocket
He's decided he's going to have a go for a whole year now with me to see how much money he can save.
Methinks there is some healthy competition in the household:rotfl:

Oh I was so good this evening. Shopping at the evil empire and picked up a roast chicken for tea, they had them reduced for £2.50, and they had some larger ones for £3.50. Only needed it for tonight so decided to buy the £2.50 one and put the extra £1 in the pot....oh yeah oh yeah!!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0

I want to give this a go! Got an old baked bean tub with a slot cut in the top and ready to seal. I want to save at least £500. I've got a tiny girly money box too, that I put " shrapnel" in and currently have £28 to bank- it only holds about £30 in total. It's a painless way of saving money.0

Hi everyone,
No potting for me today, but thought I would pop in to say hi to our lively thread. Ok, I admit it, I am thoroughly entertained by everyone's posts.
WOW, with so many people saving and paying off their debts/mortgages, we'll soon be able to stick a finger up at the banks and skip into the sunset:D:D:D! The banks will soon be asking us for loans :rotfl:! Revenge is so sweet!
I can't wait for our distinguished auditor :kisses3: and inspirational forum director :kisses3: to publish our 2012 total.
