Of course you can join, Savingforsomeday and Hanliam! A very warm welcome to you. biggrin.gif Have fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Hanliam, you're quite right, saving like this does make it fun rather than the old "do I really need to save?!" We'll soon have the nation on here! :rotfl:

Savingforsomeday, I've put your Target of £500 on which is certainly achievable, however, if you' are unable to meet the Target don't worry just do all you can.

It sounds as though you've been inspired a lot by the savings of us all so keep coming regularly to the thread, it could just give you the incentive you need to get used to saving..begin to love it - and become addicted to doing so, serously!

All best wishes for a very successful saving year - you'll be totally delighted this time next year when you've proudly added your Total to the list so use your pot well. :)

Hi Modesty! You're welcome, it's a pleasure for sparky and for me, though did you see the names Susanne's ascended us too, we'll be running for Chancellor soon....mind you....! No, I won't be nasty!

Your hubby has become like mine, he used to scowl at me when I picked up 'fairy money' (well, who knows!) and in my 1st year os SPC I used to wait until he was having his shower to take some cash from his pocket! However, at the end of that year I presented him with 'my savings' and he was thrilled to bits - so much so that he now bends for any dropsies!!!! Ah, we taught them well, Modesty. ;) Keep up the great work.

You're welcome, mumof3plusoh. I'm pleased you enjoyed your day - and didn't come home empty handed.

You're welcome, msgnomey, it's a pretty memorable one for sure, mine too! ;)

Right then, it looks as though that's all for now. Look where you're going if you're out tomorrow and beware of tripping over fellow SPCers picking up roadkill.!! :rotfl:
Have a goodnight all and a lovely Sunday.

    Sue x

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Good morning everyone
It's been very slow on the declaring of totals front. So it'll be a few days before the Grand Total is declared by our fearless leader Sue.

A very warm welcome to our newest members, enjoy being with us and enjoy saving.

My daily coinage has been potted, I'm trying for £3 a day. Also found 21p road change yesterday.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe, wrap up warm & keep saving

    Morning all

Wow! we are on page 5 already, busy bees aren't we??

I was walking to work on the first day of SPC and came across a shiny 5p roadkill so I had to pick it up and walked another couple of steps and ther was another one!! Hope this is going to be a good omen for the rest of year.

Anyway, a £2 coin for the owls head already and the usual £1 per day in the VW camper along with 38p so..... off we go for the 2013 SPC. :D

    Happy potting all.

    Will update sig. later.
