Morning all :wave:

I've finally got myself organised for the Sealed Pot Challenge! I have decided to make use of the various money boxes I have so each coin will have a different pot!

I'm quite excited about doing it this way and it should make it easier to count!

So
1p and 2ps will go in the Felix cat box :rotfl:
5p will be saved in my green elephant
10p in
20p in a 1 litre brandy bottle
50p in my teramundi pot
£1 in my gromit money box
£2 in my grufalo money box

I've emptied my purse and also found my teramundi pot which has a few 50 pence pieces in so I'm off and running :T

Ah, good to hear you got it all sorted out, Flat Eric, that's exactly how I do mine, though I've only one with a name and that's Nessie the cow...well, it made sense to me as we got it in Scotland! Sad, I know.

Oh strewth! Look out all, and if you're in the Trafford Centre and hear folk chanting "fight..fight..fight" you'll know what's up - 2 SPCers hammering each others lights out over a ruddy penny. Oh dear it can only end in tears....as in tearing each other apart!!! :wall:

Well my shiney new £2.00 coin is in it's new home (well the old money box) there is money already in the money box, no idea how much but it can stay right where it is.

I have decided to save all coins whenever I have them (and whatever I find )

I have been trying to decide whether to count as I go along or just wait for the surprise and I think I agree with another poster on here, sorry can't remember who, who said that if they knew how much was in there they would dip into it, now I know that is me :eek: So I am going to be a good girl :Aand wait until the end of November.

I am saving for Christmas as I have 3 very expensive grandsons to buy for and am already feeling the strain this year lol.(I was a young mum )

I am so glad I found this thread as I feel very very inspired already, long may it continue :T

Hi Nessie, that was peony that said about the temptation if she kept a record of it, I reckon she's got a point too.

I also think it's a splendid idea to save all coins - why ever not?! DH & I've 5 little Grandkiddies and they certainly take some saving up for all year round

I love your final sentence! :grinheart If you want to save money then I'm sure you'll stick with the inspiration.

Hello everyone .

Having a lazy day so far today ...just [STRIKE]refereeing[/STRIKE] looking after the terrible two :eek:...:rotfl:They're not that bad, I've been given couple of cuddles and they've had a couple of spats - so I think it's classed as a draw so far (that's for the footie fans ).
A lovely looking 20p from us today .

I am back in again, have my new pot up and running already. Sue I would like to keep my target as £300, I didn't make it this time but I am hopeful for 2013.
