Morning all
I've finally got myself organised for the Sealed Pot Challenge! I have decided to make use of the various money boxes I have so each coin will have a different pot!
I'm quite excited about doing it this way and it should make it easier to count!
So
1p and 2ps will go in the Felix cat box :rotfl:
5p will be saved in my green elephant
10p in
20p in a 1 litre brandy bottle
50p in my teramundi pot
£1 in my gromit money box
£2 in my grufalo money box
I've emptied my purse and also found my teramundi pot which has a few 50 pence pieces in so I'm off and running :T0 -
A very warm welcome, jfdi, AlTeREgO, and young_un, it's lovely to have you with us.
Enjoy yourselves saving. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it helps so very much.No peaking for me then...
It will be a lovely surprise instead ... and save me money on extra tape to reseal!
There you go see, flump, I just knew there was another reason. :grinheart
Your Target's updated as requested, muchowing, all the best in meeting it. That's a good idea in potting a £1 a day, at least that way you'll not be disappointed. You've made a good start at least.
Your Target's updated as requested too, mumof3plusoh, best wishes in achieving it. Well, good luck on Sparky's turf, but he was up early this morning so doubt there will be a penny to be seen anywhere.
Good to see you, Candy, and very well done with your savings!!! :T Good to hear you had it there at a time you needed it. I'm pleased sparky's noticed it here so you don't need to put it on the old thread, but if you would in future he & I would be very grateful. Thanks.
Morning skilly....a good lot for the pot today. You'll soon have it sounding different when it drops in.
Hi Elle, your Target's updated as requested, all the best in getting there - or beyond! Good luck with soon shifting the CC.

Ah, good to hear you got it all sorted out, Flat Eric, that's exactly how I do mine, though I've only one with a name and that's Nessie the cow...well, it made sense to me as we got it in Scotland! Sad, I know.Happy savings, everyone, and have a lovely weekend.

Oh strewth! Look out all, and if you're in the Trafford Centre and hear folk chanting "fight..fight..fight" you'll know what's up - 2 SPCers hammering each others lights out over a ruddy penny. Oh dear it can only end in tears....as in tearing each other apart!!! :wall:Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j0 -
Hi all
Well my shiney new £2.00 coin is in it's new home (well the old money box) there is money already in the money box, no idea how much but it can stay right where it is.
I have decided to save all coins whenever I have them (and whatever I find)
I have been trying to decide whether to count as I go along or just wait for the surprise and I think I agree with another poster on here, sorry can't remember who, who said that if they knew how much was in there they would dip into it, now I know that is me  So I am going to be a good girl :Aand wait until the end of November.
I am saving for Christmas as I have 3 very expensive grandsons to buy for and am already feeling the strain this year lol.(I was a young mum)
I am so glad I found this thread as I feel very very inspired already, long may it continue :T
Good luck everybody

Hi Nessie, that was peony that said about the temptation if she kept a record of it, I reckon she's got a point too.
I also think it's a splendid idea to save all coins - why ever not?! DH & I've 5 little Grandkiddies and they certainly take some saving up for all year round
I love your final sentence! :grinheart If you want to save money then I'm sure you'll stick with the inspiration.Sue xAnyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's never too late.There may be a lot of us, but don't feel intimidated, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.:grinheartPlease read the 1st post on Page 1 first so you know what's what.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j0 -
Hello everyone

Having a lazy day so far today...just [STRIKE]refereeing[/STRIKE] looking after the terrible two ...:rotfl:They're not that bad, I've been given couple of cuddles and they've had a couple of spats - so I think it's classed as a draw so far (that's for the footie fans
).
A lovely looking 20p from us today.
