  • Evening everyone.

Potter #22 reporting for duty. Please count me in again. Not decided on a target at the mo, as i may have to withdraw my savings mid year, but i'd like to make a start, and something is better than nothing.

Thanks for starting us all off again Sue, bet it feels like you've lived on here for the last few days. :T:T

    Good luck everyone.
    SPC 18 Target £200 /
  • Well I have been around the house snaffling all the loose change on top of book cases, from on the table, kitchen worktop etc :D All safely deposited in my 'pot' - just didn't think to count it ... doh! Might sneak a peak tomorrow so I can say how much I put in today before I reseal - is that allowed?

Trying to decide to whether to track what I put in each day or leave it as a big surprise. Thoughts?

Loving the idea of roadkill :)

I have been thinking the same, I think I like the element of surprise. Also, if I know how much is in there I think I will be more tempted to open it earlier than I wish.

Has anyone punched a hole into an old christmas tin? If so, how did you do it? I have been trying using a spanner and banging it with a mallet; absolutely nothing is happening! Gave up, as I didn't wish to annoy the neighbours.

Lovely to see you, Palema, all the best for a good year of saving.

You and DD have a really good day, Lost...and keep an eye out for any cash needing a home. :)

Ah, there you are, ETO. You do whatever you need to do...it'll be lovely to have SPC 6 babies to hear about later on! :j Funny you should say about me feeling as though I've lived on here.....! I'm tired, but it's a good tired, a lot to be said for that...and I won't be late to bed tonight.

One word, flump - NO!! Remember the name of the challenge..mmmm?? It doesn't matter that you haven't counted it, it's only a rough guide that's we put on here to motivate others and them to motivate you.

I added a few pence last night, but I won't retain the amount nor will others remember theirs. Mostly we all prefer to chuck it in as often as possible, then look forward to the lovely surprise of it all this time next year! :j

A spanner's not the best tool to use, peony.

DH says to get a flat piece of wood and a chisel and put the lid on a of flat wood then bang away with your mallet til you get 2 parallel lines the size a 50p would go through, then do 2 the opposite way, just like a piggy bank. See, simple...isn't it?! See how you get on and please let us know.

I quite agree in the thinking of if you know what's in it you'd be inclined to dip in. Some people do that then regret it especially this time of year! :(

Many thanks Sue and also to your DH; I will ask DH if he has a chisel tomorrow. Knowing my DH he will do it for me, he does not trust me with tools or electrical garden equipment as I am somewhat accident prone and clumsy!

    , it really helps.

Keep up the hints for a terramundi, nomi01, there are some real beauties to be had. Just don't ever break it to get your money out!! See all about that under the Terramund section of post 1 on the first page.

Don't worry, peony, mine's no better, what is it with fellas and trust....

How uncanny, Palema, Cazzie's going all out to get a house and leave home, though ummm....she's definitely younger than you! If you're happy enough at home though why ever not have stayed put til now and saved a fortune! Best wishes with it being successful and a home you'll cherish. :grinheart

Right then girls, I'm hitting the sack right now and I wish you ALL a very good night.

Take care and see you soon :)
