Nobody can enforce an agreement that says you must agree to unfair terms in future.

Please read this link from the FSA regarding "full and final" settlements and further charges received.

  • Does anyone out there know if I can claim back the remaining £300. My bank charges in six years amounted to £1045 and I was offered £750. Does anyone know if I can claim the remaining amount and how to go about that now that the court case is over

It's very unlikely you will get any more back with this claim. You probably signed to say this was a full and final settlement in respect of these charges.
  • Hi there, need some advice please. I claimed and won with HSBC last year and have since - as good as I tried to be - received more charges. Got about a years worth again now. Can I claim again or not?

    Thanks

I have already sucessfully claimed back my charges from Halifax last year.
When we agreed on a settlement figure, I had to sign a form agreeing to Halifax charging me in the future before they'd pay me.
Since then I have accumulated some more charges on the same account.
Is it worth bothering to submit a new claim for these ones? Ie : Would the form I signed be considered valid in view of the OFT announcement?

    Many thanks!

Hi We claimed our bank charges bank last year but stupidly accepted the 1st offer that was made to us. In light of the rulling by the court, do you know if we have a right to go back a claim back the remainder of the charges?
    Many thanks
