Queenie - having spent most of my life working in gyms, you'd be amazed at some of the outfits I've seen people wearing to exercise in! Tracksuit bottoms or leggings with a T shirt is more than adequate. The most important things are a decent supportive pair of trainers & a decent supportive bra if you're going to be bouncing around...
Cheers m'dear :T On the "supportive" front ...I was worrying more about the foundations of the building having strong enough supports for when I start doing the :j :j :j Never occurred to me to get a strong supportive bra - it's on the shopping list
dannahaz wrote:]Queenie I had to smile about the Maths homework. Well done you. The fitness class will be fine, just get yourself a comfortable pair of joggers (tracksuit bottoms). Then when you get there, see if you enjoy it, and see what the others are wearing. If they are all in lycra then it might not be for you. (I'm putting myself on you there, I went to one keep fit class once and everyone else looked like they didn't need to lose any weight and were in lycra. However, I've been to others were the fol seemed perfectly normal). [/QUOTE] Update on the Maths thingie ... he just phoned and praised my abilities - just to score another point, he mentioned he was "texting" , so I pointed out that 'text' is not a verb:rotfl: I shall cut him some slack now
Ah, good point!!! ... Queenie/lycra  lycra/Queenie _pale_ ... hmmm, joggers and T -shirt thenCheers for those links btw, very interesting :T
taplady - go and put that guilt in the bin right away!! You can't know what you don't know, so how could you have been there for him more? I do agree you should have been alerted by the school before this, after all, parents and schools are supposed to work in partnership. Still, you know now and you can move forward positively and with a plan in mind. Can't undo what's already done ((hugs))
Aril - hope Disco Dolly does himself and you proud at the St G's parade
mioliere - Excellent! Glad you enjoyed it :T (No more broken bones .. yet .. fingers X'd <--- or not in d11yo's case)

Congratulations
Hapy birthday to the birthday girls from today and yesterday:bdaycake:
Making salad for tea and DH is taking me to look at new gas fires as our old one was taken out yesterday.
Having a quick browse on here.
Had to laugh at DH's and maths - hubbie used to be a maths lecturer and a few years ago DD got some exercises for a maths challenge - DH was stumped on one of them - I looked at it while he was out and managed to solve it- when he asked how I did it and I replied that it was actually more of a logic problem - he was not too amused!"This site is addictive!"

Just finished work
kyle (((hugs))) to you
taplady had the same with my DS, for months he said the same ref homework, he got none or done it at school. Untill we had parents evening last month, and I found out differently. Now - the bits he does get, either myself or OH makes sure it gets done. My ex would never help with their homeworks all those yrs ago (still doesnt now) and I worked evenings also. Hope you get it sorted soon.
littlemisskitkat any news on the baby front? hope all goes well
mrs-mix hope your not waiting long before the appointment comes through.
tine my mum uses talktalk, her phone line is down today, but broadband working! She's had lots of problems alately with it!
tired mum  thats awfull, but then again, I think you might have expected something like this happen with her past history. Lets hope the solicitor comes up trumps for you! Its been going on for ages now!
Ive got 2 parcels to wrap from ebay sales, and post them after the school run.
Spoke to my ex the other day, exFIL is still losing weight, not walking and has given up! I really do hope he pulls through!
After finding out the other day my dad has put his house up for sale and not telling me. I rang - no answer, sent a text to say Hi, still love you loads, hope your ok, & hope to see you soon! No response. What do I do, call again, or wait for him? I know its none of my business, but I recently found out, he attempted to sell the house last summer - to no avail! BUt its still nice to be kept up-to date with his news -good or bad!
Right best be off,
Take care

p.s - my new found friend (lol - bless her) - from freecycle, has sent another email, she is in court today fighting for custody for her son. Its quite juicy details, it makes Eastenders look normal! But put it this way, her ex, won custody 3yrs ago, and lasted 18 months, till she got son back, cause the dad was having "!!!!!!" thoughts about his son! Lets hope all goes in her favour today!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Sorry folks I haven't had time to read the daily for reasons which will become clear.........
My Dad and Stepmum are arriving to stay for the weekend at tea time. As per usual I have got myself in a state about their visit and wanting everything to be perfect. Unfortunately yoday is the first day i've had any energy all week so I've left everything to the last minute.:o
My Dad fancies himself as a bit of a gourmet chef so he can be quite critical about his food. I mad a cassoulet last night but....
a. despite me buying the most expensive sausages I could find they have disintegrated in the pot.
b. I burned the bottom of it.
c. Mr haribo helped himself to about a quarter of it as a midnight snack.
Pink-Winged talked me through the delicate operation of it's rescue this morning.:A
The fish pie I was making was too watery so I've turned it into soup.:o
I made pork burgers for a BBQ tommorrow and it is now forecast to rain for 3 days.
In the midst of all this the school phoned to say Twin 2 is unwell so I have a poorly lo too. She's asleep beside me (bless).
Then...............I go to make crusty bread in the BM to accompany the cassoulet to find my paddle has dissapeared. I'm sure it's in OH's office with his lunch but he says not so it must be in the bin:eek:  and............of course the bin men have just been:eek:   .
(if it is in his lunch I hope it chokes him.);) :rotfl:
Still got 101 things to do before they arive so best go.
Will try to catch up later.

everyone, what another glorious day.
Well the Smoky household has been pretty manic over the last day or so, what with going back to work, new school, and generally trying to keep on top of things. It was 1 o clock last night by the time I got organised after getting home just after 10 from work. The kids are full of stories about school and seem very happy which is brill, and I am glad to be earning again! Going to top to bottom in a short while and then make everyone tea. Pizza's for the kids and a prawn curry with rice for us.
I have the weekend off as they have cocked up the off duty (not that I am complaining mind) but that will be the last one for a long while. I only hope OH can cope with the kids, we will see.to oldmacdonald, ms catznine and joannas dad.
to all in need, especially tiredmum, anniestar and mrs-mix.
Rage in Eden, please don't stop posting, I hope your wound heals up soon for you.
Right got to go, the nursery have phoned and I need to get the LO. OH is in the area back at work but has forgotten his phone  and I need to try and get a number to contact him.
Take care everyone and have a good night.

10% off at "Lessbounce.com"
Hi All. I KNOW this isn't the right forum but, as we were discussing large busted ladies exercising, I thought it was approproate to share this here.
A company called lessbounce.com is offering 10% off orders placed before the end of May, quote ref PC3. For info, I picked up the voucher at my local Curves Gym (Egham, Surrey). The manager was given them at the recent Mind, Body, Spirit expo.
Being a 34G I have to say that the bras available are huuuuuuuuuggggeee, the ugliest things I have ever seen. They are very effective thoug. I have no idea if you can get the same bras elsewhere for less.
Anyway, just thought it might help...

Hello :hello:
What a day!!! It's been very busy at w***. At least its friday tomorrow!!
When I got home my DS had got my washing in and had watered my plants outside, bless him. Thought he was being nice and helpful then he told me that he only had 50p credit on his phone & could I top it up for him!! (He's learnt fast :rotfl: )
PenPen - At our school both Year 7 & 8 are doing Optional Tests in English & Maths at the moment, so that we can monitor thier progress. I assumed all schools done these tests but I was talking to my neighbours DS who is in Year 7 and he isn't doing them either.
I just assist the exams secretary during busy periods and do the odd invigilating session as well but I'll have a word with the exams secretary tomorrow and see if its just something that each school decides on.
Need to tidy up a few bits and wash up then take my DS to Boys Brigade.
Have a good evening
