    Good Morning All

Lovely and sunny here today. Just enjoying 2nd cup of coffee. DD is getting ready to leave for the bus (she is lucky as our house is the bus stop) then will start chasing DS to get ready as otherwise he will leave till 5 mins before we leave.

Load in the WM, lunches made and Im dressed and ready. Just about to empty dw and tidy/wipe kitchen. Going to give puppy a longer walk on the way back from school then coming home to tidy house - as best as possible considering there are tiles and dining room stuff spread over the house.

Builder wont be back till Saturday when he will (everything crossed) finish the kitchen, also our replacement fridge freezer comes then so that is good. Then need to speak to him regarding the dining room and cloakroom. We have got everything but just need to find how much he wants to do it.

Feeling very motivated and positive today - hope it lasts.

    Have a great day.

Oh and (((hugs))) to those not sleeping and with bad dreams - I never seem to remember mine.

    Happy Birthday oldM'cdonald

Amie, gorwing rocket is a doddle. Seriously, its easier than going to the shop and buying some LOL. simply put some compost in a pot, sprinkly over seeds, sprinkle over some compost- water- pick -scoff. :D the key is making sure that it doesnt flower- once its flowered its game over. I need to read up on how to avoid this this year, as I have some rocket to plant up later today.

Hi, Lynz! Are you planting your rocket inside in pots? Mine goes into the garden, but I suppose the trick to stop it bolting is much the same. It needs plenty of water. If it gets dry it thinks that it's about to die, so flowers and sets seed, ensuring a new generation of plants.

Well done on the new job, btw.
Remembered - choir's back tonight after the Easter holiday. :T :j Can't wait - we tend to do *lighter* music for our summer concert. Beer afterwards

Just spoke with DS over breakfast - he does have tests atm (maths today), so they're probably regular end of year tests. DD's in the middle of KS3 mocks, too.

Emmy please tell me where to get a husband like yours! All the meals - you lucky thing!!:j :j

Well, washing on (now that I've found enough for a load!), veggies ready to prep for dinner, sandwiches made for GDD's visit for lunch, paperwork still looking at me - I think I'll hide it! Tru hope Master is MUCH better this morning! My DS2's GF has had trouble with her wisdom teeth coming through - there's always someone suffering with their teeth somewhere. She's on antibiotics which were just starting to kick in last night so, hopefully, she's on the mend, too!

    Morning Everyone!

I had a fantastic birthday yesterday! Thanks for all your wishes:T

Really enjoyed the Chinese last night. My Dad went up to the owner (unbeknown to me) and after we'd eaten, they brought out a dish of ice cream with a candle in it, and played Happy Birthday over the speakers! I may be 48 but I still love surprises! he whole restaurant clapped too, so I felt really special:T

Going to the Charity shop this morning, bags to drop off. Then Lidl for some food, and the Post Office to pick up a parcel from ebay. (Think it's a ceramic bread bin I won) Got to put my Mum's Duvet in the launderette too. Too big for her or my machine!

Guess what? Managed to make my computer wireless all by myself this morning! Now I can move it to James' old room, which will become my study!

    Have a good day all.

It is my dd's birthday today as well (can't believe my youngest is 23!) she won't be home until tomorrow  so we will have a birthday barbecue with the family then and she can have her pressies then too_party_ .

Never mind I have the dentist again today _pale_ to see if he can repair my broken crown, (came off when other tooth was extracted) so that will keep me occupied! Then off to London to visit friend in hospital before her op.

(((Hugs))) to Mrs Mix and PP and anyone else who needs them.

Must have been the new moon last night causing all these bad dreams as I had one too! Mine was to do with huge insects! Could be I have just done too much gardening recently!

Off for another :coffee: before I start the day

    Hi everyone,

Sorry I've been AWOL the last couple of days - just reporting in to say I got the promotion!!! It's really tough being the internal candidate and I was up first but apparently I set the benchmark and the others didn't come up to it so I'm feeling good.

I'm also hectically busy though as we go away on Saturday to drive round Andalucia for 2 weeks. Bad timing but I booked it in case I didn't get the job to lick my wounds, also it might be a while before I can get away again.

    Happy birthday OldMacdonald.
