thanks january20 could you let me know if have had reply from your claim yet? also the print out also tells me about refund charges - do i take these of totals claiming in the same month...?

Hopefully someone can help.

Have sent numerous letters and made many calls but still the Shabbey will not send out my girlfriends statements. We have reported them to FO and the IC and still no joy. Even the contact number given is permanently engaged at her bank. We do not now know what to do as our patience are running out.

This has been ongoing since mid March and still no statements. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

You're not alone, I'm in exactly the same position with the Abbey. Been trying since Feb. to get my info!! Now waiting to see if FO can get it for me!!Let me know if you have any luck, Lyn

Hi, l started to reclaim bank charges for my boyfriend. He banks at abbey national, i follwed the 1st steps but only got as far as asking the bank to send all bank statements from dec 03 -may 06. They sent me the majority of the statemnts but did not send the statements for feb 06-may 06 this is the period when charges were applied the most, in total he had an overdraft of roughly £1200 & actually paid it off through abbey's debt manangement service. I made another request for abbey to send the reminder of the statments but they have just ignored me, this has been since April. now l cannot add up all the charges to make a claim for the charges he shouldn't have paid in the first place. What should l do now, l'm really frustrated.

You can report the bank to the ICO because of failure to comply with the DPA.

As you can see from the above posts this is an on-going problem with Abbey regarding the information/statements.

As you have been trying for so long to get the information I would be inclined to now go to the Financial Ombudsman and put your claim through them as they should be able to get the information for you.

I'm new to this forum, but not the site and really need some advice. I might even be posting in the wrong place!

I've sent a letter to Abbey to request copies of my bank statements, they sent me statements today, but they've only sent me copies dating back to 25th June 2006. This is obviously only a years worth. What do I do now? I have most of my statements here, but I have 'mislaid' about five or six of these. I really need advice, especially after reading the bulletin with the OFT.
