Will do, hopefully someone can help me to crochet while we are there

Not a lot to report this morning. STILL waiting on the balance transfer completing  New CC is showing as a NIL balance, but when I click onto the account on online banking, it shows my available balance as £1604, which is my £4k limit minus the first balance transfer. So it's in mid air somewhere, not quite made it to the new CC.
But the virgin card where I transferred the balance from is still showing as the full amount. Hope I haven't typed a wrong number somewhere :eek:Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
            Morning Zepsgal,
Good luck with the Balance Transfer. I am sure if just mid-air somehwere. wish my credit rating was good enough for Balance Transfers. I tried doing it a while ago, I got the new card but it was such a small credit limit, it was no use to me at all .
Wish I lived nearer to you guys, but I am almost the opposite end of the country
Have a good day xxx0 -
Just noticed the DD for Sky has came out of my bank, £5.38. Sky should be cancelling today :beer:
Kinda looking forward to it now, what will I do with all my spare time not glued to the tv?? Maybe more like last night, reading my knitting and crochet book and then looking on Pinterest at wonderful sewing patterns, things to crochet or knit etc. Or I could actually knit or crochet something

Well done for cancelling. If it was just me I would definately cancel SKY, but hubby would have a heart attack, so I have to make do with reducing it
.
Looks like you will be crocheting and knitting :T0 -

I like to blame DH for us having sky for so long, but it's probably more my fault. We got it years back when I worked for Sky, full package for free, including the sports and PPV etc. I'm suprised that I did actually go through with cancelling but.... Needs must I guess!
I've got a few family members that can sew and knit really well, I've asked both to give me a hand. But both are having tough times just now, so I'm reluctant to 'press' them to make a date
. I'm hoping that they wouldn't have offered if they didn't want to help
Stuff it, just posted on fb asking one of them for some help this weekend! Will see what they say xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -

You don't get if you don't ask .
They might be glad of the distraction and someone to chat to if they are going through rough times. You might have to be prepared to get your ear bent, but thats a good trade I suppose

Well, family member has agreed to help me learn to knit :j Will be going over next weekend, so this gives me time to order wool online using money I have in paypal. She has already designed a pattern for me to do a nice scarf, how lovely!
Moneywise, my first balance transfer is complete, I did have the right bank account numbers etc (insert smiley face for PHEW! lol)
Just done the second balance transfer, that should be complete by Wed/Thursday then the virgin card will be getting cancelled woop!
Total amount on that card once transfers are completed is just about £2900. Which doesn't sound a lot, but considering I have racked up this debt in about a year it's pretty bad tbh. It was literally a case of 'ach I will bung it on the credit card, we will pay that off, won't we?'
Still, new year, new agenda! Clear the debt and SAVE money! Imagine what that would be like to buy something using savings rather than credit?!?!Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
            Morning Zepsgal,
I can't even imagine what it would be like to be able to shop around for the best price and pay for it out of my own money. I have lived in my overdraft for so long now, with the fear of the bank removing it, I can't even imagine what it would be like to have my own cash .
Its good to have these chats to keep us going.
Eyes on the prize :T
Have a great day xx0 -
Just realised that I have made 16 payments to my sister, paying back £300 a time for the money she loaned me. £4800 paid back so far, another 24 payments to go til it's all cleared. Last payment will be out of my December 2014 wage, so DF date for this is 31st December 2014 :j
Hoping to have the one CC paid off before this date, so I could pay more to my sister, meaning it could be before Dec 2014 :j
Sorry, just random thoughts popping into my head
