    Morning all!

Bit of a productive night last night, I finally made a start on my first handmade present!! My niece will be 1 at the end of Feb, thought I would make a head start and get it finished early -

    2ed9zxt.jpg

Used DH's nail gun to attach the fabric, then glue gunned the sides, the used glue to stick on the pink ribbon. Well chuffed with that btw, who knew I would actually get off my butt and make something for someone?!?

Hoping my buttons arrive from amazon today (paid for with swagbuck vouchers!) so I can make a start on the button initial in the middle :)

Wow that board looks really beautiful. Well done you :T.

I keep trying to think of something fabric and light that I can make and sell on Fleabay?. All I can think of is aprons :rotfl:. Not sure there is much of a market for them and even if I could make them well enough. (can you tell how desperate I am :o)

    Have a good day xx

    Morning Steph

Have you looked on pinterest for ideas? That site is like a time warp, one minute it's after dinner, next minute it's bedtime :rotfl:You could look at pot handles/holders, baby bibs,

Sorry, I took a quick look on pinterest for some ideas for you, that was about 8 minutes ago now :rotfl:

Never heard of that site. I will have a look.
That sort of thing sounds fab, it needs to be something fabric and light, then postage costs would be low and i would'nt have the risk of breakages.

I will go and have a look, thanks hun x

Pay day tomorrow, wage slip was delivered today. Wage is £1381 :(

I'm thinking of telling DH to buy his own cigarettes for Feb. I know he has some money put by from odd jobs he has done for people this month.

Getting my boss to check my overtime as I think they have underpaid me. Don't know if I'm clutching at straws to get some extra money :)

Just rechecked my overtime, it's correct :o

Did just log into the internet banking, not sure why, but on my new credit card, it's showing as '50% balance transfer fee refund £6.53, and a second for £35.90'

Really not sure what's happened there, I'm sure the fee I paid was the correct fee at the time?! Not complaining though!

Just called to activate my card, was just about to put the card back into my purse and then I thought, what am I doing?!?!!! I don't need a credit card, I only got it for the balance transfer!

So I have cut up the card and binned it :j:T

I will do this! I CAN DO THIS!! :T

  • Well done for cutting up the card.

Your wages looked pretty good, were you expecting ALOT more?.

How will the budget look this month, do you think you will make it out of the OD.?

I thought I would have move overtime, I do about 5 hours a week. So was expecting 20 hours, and I got 10. Re-checked it, 10 hours is right. Overtime runs from 17th december til 13th Jan, I was on holiday over christmas, two days off before that, new year holidays etc etc. Pants :( Was thinking/hoping I would have about £100 extra.

Having a talk with DH tonight about the budget when I get home. I mentioned him using his own money to buy cigarettes, he said that was fine. Hoping he can make his money last till the end of the month (insert smiley for fingers crossed).

Overdraft is sitting at £285 (up £25 cos DH put fuel in the car). OD plus bills £660 and allowing £120 for fuel and £150 for food, total is £1215. Wage is £1381, so £166 leftover. Which will pay my credit card. Tight but technically do-able if we both stick religiously to the budget!
