            Morning all!
Had a chat with DH, layed the budget out to him, he agreed that he will use whatever money he has just now and anything he earns during Feb to pay for all his own luxuries. Like cigarettes, coffee at college, and lunch at college. I've told him time and time again to buy stuff to make up sandwiches and he doesn't (not enough time, other things to do in the morning, it's not really saving any money etc etc), fine, whatever, pay for it yourself then!! He has said he will, which is a big help with the budget.
I realised last night that if I stick to the budget this month, down to the penny, I will have £166 left to pay the credit card. Then, if we follow the same budget for March, I will have £166 left at the end of the month plus £285, the amount we are in the overdraft just now
Just one month with anything breaking, no unexpected bills, nothing spent on anything that isn't already budgeted for. All I need, just one month :T
Bring it on February!!Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -

Morning Zepsgal.
You are so like me. I look at my budget and think "If only nothing breaksdown for x amount of time" then we will be great :rotfl:. Lets keep our fingers crossed for a nice quiet, quick and cheap February.
Theres nothing worse than feeling like you are winning, only to be slapped back down again with a breakdown.
I am at the point that even if something breaks down I will manage without it, rather than affecting the budget. I am guarding it with my life :rotfl:
Good luck hun. March cc payment with be amazing if you can succeed this February. We will do it together :T

We CAN do it together, and we WILL :T
Dh had just informed me that he has spent this weeks fuel budget, is that alright? Of course it is, it's budgeted for! No more fuel til this time next week though!
Received a letter from my bank last night telling me of the changes to my account. I get the £5 from Halifax by having their rewards account, if I'm in my overdraft at all during the month I don't get the £5 plus I still pay the £1 a day charge. Another incentive to stay out the overdraft! I want me free £60 a year :rotfl:Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -

Afternoon RFTA  Yes join in our 'Don't spend a blo0dy penny in Feb' gang :rotfl:
I found £2 in my purse, gave it to my boss to buy me a Euromillions for tonight. Fingers crossed!! No idea where the £2 came from, I've not had a penny in my purse all week... Not that i've checked my purse though, cos I haven't actually bought a thing all week.
Managed to not spend a penny today apart from the £2, even though a part of me is desperate to go food shopping! I don't know what it is tbh, I know I've been paid and I want to spend money, and now that I've gave up shopping for clothes and makeup, I only really spend cash on food. I feel the urge to go to Tesco. Need to resist, I don't need anything!!Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
            Afternoon diary

Dh is helping a friend out for a few hours today, think he is getting £15-20 for it. He is helping out another friend for the next few Saturdays, making about £200 from that. He has asked to get paid at the end of it, so £200 in his hand rather than £20 here and there.
I'm currently baking
making some banana muffins with reduced bananas I bought over a week ago. Got a batch of twinks in as well. I'm also making some veg pasties for myself, filled with turnip carrot and potatoes. Going to have one for dinner and the rest for lunch at work Monday and Tuesday.
Still not been to a supermarket :T Trying to stay away as long as possible, but I'm running out of veg
Got no onions, one or two lank carrots left and a whole cabbage. Need to find something to do with the cabbage, hmm.
Budgets are still on track, not spent anything since payday. Dh bought coffee out his own money, he said its reduced at tesco ATM, which almost never happens, so I might head to tesco tomorrow and buy a few packs to last a few weeks.
Need to go check my baking! XCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -

            Morning Diary :-)
Finally, my £60 cashback is payable :j Sent it by bacs to myself, hopefully this clears in the next few days! First overpayment to the credit card woop!
Still need to set up a faster payment thing on my online banking, not really sure how to do this. It's asking me for sort code and account number, will need to look out a letter from the bank for this I think
Going to have to bite the bullet and go to Tesco tonight
I really don't have anything to complete meals, I have jars of sauces but no meat and veg to put in them. Trying to write a list just now and hopefully go on my way home from work.
I've allocated £30 a week for groceries, so far I've spent £1 on Sunday, so have £29 to last til Friday, which is pretty good
Won't be overspending tonight though, literally just buying what we need, not want :T Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
            Hi Zepsgal,
Make sure you have eaten before you go to the supermarket.
I always end up hungry and it costs me a fortune.
Well done on getting the £60 cashback :T. I love little extra's.
I had one today when I realised a payment for £107 won't be going out. yay :j
