    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning,

Usually Saturdays I have a lie in and just graze throughout the day, BUT I want to change all that, so I'm awake before 12, HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT on my part, lol! I've made my usual breakfast of 3 egg whites, 40g porridge and a cup of green tea! Then it's off to the gym for a bit of cardio and sauna!

Re: Gym, anyone know of anyone who works for David Lloyd who would be willing to refer me as a family/friend??

I'll be making curried eggs for lunch and if waitrose has finally received their delivery, I might be eating sea bass for dinner, YUM!

Have a FAB day all and remember to make healthy food choices!

I did not do well this week as it was taking longer than expected to build my will power up enough to resist chocolate. Now however I am back on track and I have had a reasonably healthy day today.

Each day I am trying to move as much as possible (except in the evenings when I embrace couch life :()so that I am burning calories constantly as well as trying to go on long walks during the week.

I must be doing something right as I managed to lose a lbs and a half :j

A loss is a loss, WELL DONE! :T

I've worked out twice everyday this week. I hit the gym in the mornings doing a mixture of weights and HIIT and every evening I've been running 2 miles! I'm hoping to do this for the next six weeks and I've eaten well! I've also decided not to have a cheat meal on Sunday as usual! I hope to only have a cheat meal twice a month instead of 4 times a month! FINGERS CROSSED!

If its not challenging you, then it's not changing you!
  • Hi all :)

I have started the 'eating better' club too :o I have a sweet tooth & although I would try not to have too much junk food, If im honest i likely had chocolate every day (sometimes crisps too) & ate out/takeaway every 7-10 days.

I haven't had any take aways, chocolate, crisps - generally anything naughty in the past 11 days which is amazing for me haha.
I've been having a Special K cereal bar for breakfast & snacking on apple/grapes/blueberries. For lunch I've been making a wrap (weight watchers) with ham, cucumber & tomato n a lil drizzle of salad cream light. Then maybe a handful of nuts or fat free yoghurt if pekish later in afternoon.
Dinner has been some veg with pasta or jacket potato & chicken - nothing super healthy but not too bad either. No snacks after dinner either.

I've been working a lot of hours so that's helped keep my mind distracted!

I would like to cut down on carbs but I'm a bit fussy! Not a big salad lover. Any advise? Or how should I improve the above. Ideas welcomed! I would rather eat little and often.

Sorry for the mini essay & fingers crossed we all see some results soon :T
  • Hi everyone!

I've had quite a good week. I've decided not to eat to lose weight but to eat to improve my health.

I often suffer from fatigue, headaches, bloating, IBS, and mood swings and it has only just dawned on me that it is because of all of the rubbish I'm eating. I eat biscuits/ sweets when I was having an afternoon crash.

Now I am trying to combat that by eating slow release foods. I have made my own cereal bars and also a big pot of veg soup that I have taken to work this week. I feel a lot less bloated and there's definitely an improvement in the fatigue although it's not completely gone! I'm sure that will continue to improve over time though.

I am throwing my scales away and am going to guage me improvement by my clothes!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.x

You have to do what works for YOU! I think that's why we are all on this particular thread, because we don't want a rigid plan to follow etc.

Hopefully your symptoms ease off, which I suspect they will! Good Luck

    Hi,

I've read this thread with great interest! Are any of you wanting to lose weight through your healthy eating?

I ask because I NEED to find a way i can lose weight that is sensible, effective and long term. I struggle with binge eating an l believe It is because I spend far too much time thinking about what I can/can't should/shouldn't eat. I know i should be working out the best way to feed myself nutritious food that will help my body work correctly but I I don't know where to start!

just don't buy the fat sugar stuff then you can't eat it. make up salads and soup in advance and walk everywhere possible!

    Hi all :)
Its lovely to see that others have joined this thread too, welcome to you all.

MasterPoo- i love carrot and lentil soup. The recipe doesnt call for chilli, but i love to add a bit of that too..YUM!!

Mousey-you have done really well by losing that amount of weight so far, well done you :)

Trolley-i agree with the walking. I used to walk miles, but then moved house and now i dont know any of the local walks. I think i need to investigate :)

Mrs TM- well done on losing that weight. I hadnt thought of eating veg forst, then the rest of the meal. Your exercise plan sounds really good. I tend to only get exercise mon-fri, walking my son to school.

Surfsister-thanks for that. I am not one to do 'diet shakes' of things like that...just sensible healthy eating, portion control and common sense really.

I cant remember if i told you what weight i am aiming for? Ultimately i am aiming for 10st. I am making mini goals that are as easy to reach as possible, to keep me motivated.
So i am working on 2-3lbs a month. i am only weighing once a month, so i will next weigh on 19th Jan.

thanks for the mention. it took me 2 years to get to my desired weight and is definitely a lifestyle choice for me. i feel so full of energy too and have grown to love exercising. good luck all!! throw away the sugary cereal bars and eat that porridge and fruit!!

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning all :)

Well, as of yesterday, i have no scales! They broke!
So, i have decided not to bother weighing myself anymore, i am going to go on how i feel in my clothes.

I have been walking to and from school for exercise, and am also going out on a walk today.
I have cut down on alcohol, which is a main culprit of my belly! So, fingers crossed!
I might start measuring with a tape measure, but only my belly as thats my problem area.

oopsadaisydoddle- I have suffered with binge eating in the past too. I overcame it with a variety of measures, but the most important one, without a doubt, was making sure i ate regularly, and making sure i ate enough.
If you'd like any other tips, feel free to PM me (no pressure) and i'll try and remember some :)

Off for my walk now, have a great day everyone :)

Anyone know of anything that can help tighten under arm 'wings'? I've been gaining muscle and losing fat since moving here last April, and now I have wings! I'm not too fussed with them, but it would be nice to wear a tank top in public and not feel like I'm swooping about on my wings! :rotfl:
