I like this idea - I lost a lot of weight this way, but gained it back with a stressful final year at uni. My new years resolution is to get back to this, and it will be nice to see how others get on. I'm going to subscribe and lurk, but don't want to post, because I'll probably start thinking I'm on a diet and eat bad things I'm 'not allowed'

My top tip is to drink lots of water, it's one of the most significant influences for me, but I'm not drinking anything like enough just now.
  • Hi everyone,

First weigh in for 2013 on Monday and I'm 2kgs down and with inches lost all over, BOOOOOOOM!!! I take pix every 3 weeks and its amazing to see how I'm shrinking/have shrunk in just one year!

I hope you all eating well and staying healthy!

    Well done!

I'm actually trying to put a bit of weight on (weird, I know) and I think I'm getting there. I don't have scales, so can only go by my clothes.

This is what I've been eating lately: Porridge for breakfast (made with milk and added blueberries or banana), hm soup (big bowl) for lunch and meat, potato and veg in some form or another for dinner, and a bit of chocolate and nuts for snacks. It is difficult for me to gain weight due to my work (shifts and time zone differences), but I'm not working this week, so I'm making good headway :)

Keep it up, everybody! Slowly, steady and healthy does it.
(I'm trying to invent a healthy flapjack, so when I do, I'll let you all know :) )

For the last two weeks I've been making butternut and carrot soup instead of swede and carrot soup! Im trying to reduce my carb intake, so it made sense to substitute the swede for butternut....We shall see! I've been eating that with a nice juicy piece of salmon. I try to work out twice a day, theory being I will exhaust myself enough for the perfect nights sleep, so far NOTHING!!

I hope to be 2/3 Kgs lighter by end if Feb, that's my interim target!

I hope you are all eating clean!

i'm going to try and jump on the bandwaggon. I need to lose over 5 stone as my weight has stayed the same for years. So will try and update when I can. I do do a lot of walking, for work and in general. I do quite like the aqua classes at the gym as they work all the muscles and swimming is quite good. Also have been trying to eat less and i think I have lost a bit overall, but have a long long way to go
    :T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one :) :beer::beer::beer:

GOOD LUCK!! I started off at 17.5 stone in January 2012, my target is 11 and I've just reached the 12 stone zone, so it CAN BE DONE!!!!! I HATE DIETS, the minute someone tries restricting what I can and cannot eat I go into autopilot and start craving stuff I don't normally like, e.g. Chocolate cake, lol!!!!

The key is CONSISTENCY (and of course a healthy diet and a good exercise regime)!! KEEP US POSTED

    Morning all :)

Well, i definitely think i am losing weight. 3 people have now mentioed that i look thinner, and my size 16 clothes are too big. So i'm back in my good old size 14s! Hooray!!
I am aiming for a size 12 i think, but whatever my body settles at naturally, is fine with me.

Welcome dawyldthing-every little tiny loss is a loss, well done you!
  • Here too, clothes are getting loose. I try not to weigh myself because I get very focused on it, so I'm waiting a little while to do that. Hope everyone else is doing well too. I almost bought some diet mags in the newsagent, but stopped myself. Trying to get into 'its not a diet its how it has to be for life' mode. Have a good weekend.
