I would maybe mention it causually to your friend. You're right, it might have been nothing, but either way your friend will appreciate your honesty. Tell he what happened and she can decide what to do with the information.
I'm sure if it was you and your husband, you'd rather your friend told you about it, just in case. If you're wrong, great, if not, at least you've been a good friend and done the right thing.0 -

It could also smack of being fed up of being used as a soap opera by people who are only following the thread for cheap thrills.
