Should I tell her?

  • Tell her.

I was cheated on by my ex husband.

I've been cheated on by my recent ex.

In both cases I had suspicions but they always had explanations and I had no absolute proof, so I had to take their word for it (and you want to trust the person you love, even if there's been one too many 'coincidences').

I really wish someone had caught them in the act/seen something like this that couldn't be so easily excused, and told me. I wouldn't have shot the messenger.
[STRIKE][/STRIKE]I am a long term poster using an alter ego for debts and anything where I might mention relationship problems or ex. I hope you understand :o

Out of interest lets play this one out - You tell the wife. This is what happens.

Her - Someone saw you at a hotel with another woman.
Him - Really - which hotel
    Her - Where were you
Him - Golf with dad ( 9 holes - not 18 - followed by an hour in the room)
Her - Well I will call your Dad -
    Him - OK.
    Her - ???

Even if Dad says he wasnt playing Golf he will say he went but alone, or he went for a walk, or a drive, and this is a case of mistaken identity.

This then puts your mate in a horrible position. And its easier to lose a friend than a spouse, house, kids, and car.

IF you want to do it - do it anonymously. Protects your friendship and then if she is suspicious she can confirm it by checking his mobile or his credit card, or calling hotel re missing earring.

    She's probably under the patio...
  • Wow that's a tough one! I hope it went ok.

But as you said, you're not accusing him of anything you are just saying what you saw. Hopefully she is a good friend and will understand your not trying to rock the boat.
