Well I did it. Filed both accounts at court today. My oldest son helped me out with the costs. :smileyhea Otherwise one of the accounts would have had to wait and it is a bit of a trek to the court.
Made a day of it though and took my youngest son to the beach after.
The clerk advised me that they are allocating set days for these hearings. forms will go to bank today. Have to wait 14 days for bank to respond then go from there. She also mentioned that they are trying not to send out allocation questionaires.0 -

Well done Bank-beater.
The court you went to seems alot more efficient than mine! I took my forms to court on 13th april they were deemed served on the 21st!
My bank havent acknowledged it yet, they have until 8th May.
Now we can all wait patiently together!
Let us know any new developments!

Hi all,
Did my claim via Bury St Edmunds County court. Served on the 5th April to Lloyds.
Emailed the courts to get an update and Lloyds will be filing a full defence, so I have asked for a full disclosure of assets pertaining to the bank and reciepts of charges from Nov 1999 to June 2002 as filed on my claim.
Latest is that the court is Scheduled for May 4th, it amazes me that 4th May is the election count that I need to attend and also my court case.
Go figure...

if you go to the the official courts site, think it is HMCS, you will see a link to download a form called N1. that is the form you need to complete and take to court. it is pretty straight forward, but if you get stuck, post and all the people on this thread will help as we have all done it!! if you are claiming exemption from fees, then you need to take some form of proof ie. benefit letter. i didn't, but most people did, take 3 copies of form, one for bank, one for court and one for yourself!! i think that is all you need (if you are exempt from fees, there is a simple form at the courts you can complete!)0 -
Well had letter from court today. They filed papers to bank on 30th. Deemed serverd 2nd (today). They have untill 16th to do whatever they intend to do which we all know is defend. Wish they wouldn't but know this would be soooooooooooo unrealistic. Boo Hoo. They will defend on the 16th, then I will have to wait a further 28 days. Yes?
Lifes a beach, and then you drown. Usually in debt.0 -
I believe they have a further 14 days if they acknowledge the claim,
14 to acknowledge
14 to put in a defence
28 total !
fingers crossed they will forget to acknowledge!

thats right, it is 28 days from the date of deemed served, so 14 + 14 days. my first 14 days were up yesterday, and as of 1pm. nationwide hadnt acknowledged, but they did have till 4pm. am going to ring court this afternoon to see if they did. i know nationwide usually acknowledge at last minute!0 -
Good luck jetcat.
Lets hope they haven't. Keep us posted.0
