your 14days start from when the papers have been deemed as served.....should be about a week (depending on how busy your court is)from when you filed at court.............wil then be sent a "notice of issue" detailing
when issued.......deemed to be served on (date)..........the defendant has until(date) and a request for judgment section.
hope that helps0 -
woo hoo - i finally received my notice of issue! deemed served - 18th April, they have until 2nd May to reply (only next week, but as bank is nationwide, not expecting anything!)
as nationwide usually defend, then pay right at the end of the 28 days, does this mean that those 28 days start from 18th April, or is there another waiting period?
am looking forward to their response, as i am going to say that any settlement must included the additional charges levied on my account since filing claim (or, receive payment by cheque)
nicci
as an afterthought, if they do file anything (or not as the case may be) does the court notify me, or do i need to ting them on 3rd may?0 -
Can I join?
I have two accounts with lloyds tsb. I dont have a card to go down the mcol route. So I have filled in my N1 form today. My first claim is for 5K+ so is going to cost me £250. Im goin to take this one to my local court which is 25miles away on Monday. Have read all the post and feel better about going. Just wish I could afford to do the other one at the same time but that is going to cost me £120 so it will have to wait a week or so.
Wish me luck. Will keep you posted.0 -

Im not sure, but I think I will call court on 8th May (lloyds times up for acknowledging) just to make sure they havent acknowledged at the last minute) then take in my request for judgement on the 9th may.0 -
