No, I got it from szeh0663.

It came with the US plug and a US to UK adapter. It says 5V and 2a on the plug, international input voltage (110 to 220v).

How much would it cost to return it to HK? I am guessing it would be prohibitive?

I think it is feasible if I just send the box and not the power adapter.

    I'll give it a go.

As him to pay the postage first as it seems to be faulty.

    Worth a try anyway.

    I'm back!

Well, I had to return the device and ended up getting one from billionax in the end.

Now I am back at square one or should that be square two!

I have set up an account with voipstunt but which VOIP supplier would you guys recommend that gives/sells a telephone number?
After all I am guessing you have done all the research already?

    Thanks in advance.

Sipgate and Orbtalk issue local 01 / 02 numbers for free and no monthly fees.

    Thanks guys.

I have gone for the sipgate option for a local geographic number.

Unfortunately these providers are more expensive than the likes of voipstunt for making calls. So to keep costs down, I will have to keep two lines connected all the time.

I predict my missus will get all confused! :-)

    Hi,

I have (finally!) got round to setting the PAP2 router up for incoming and out going lines.

Line 1 is for outgoing on voipstunt.

Line 2 is for incoming on sipgate.
I plan now to cancel my BT line.

    The question I have is:
Instead of connecting a phone directly to line 2, can I connect a phone cable at the PAP2 side and connect it directly to the phone wall socket? This way I hope to have the desk phones I have in the kitchen and bedroom upstairs to work. They are connected to the main phone wall socket in the lounge.

If so, which wires to connect where?
I can provide more details and pictures if needed.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Max.

The middle two pins on the RJ11 plug (the small plug that connects to the PAP2, Line 1 and Line 2) go to pins 2 & 5 on the phone socket.

Make sure you don't have the old incoming BT line also connected up to the same sockets.
