    Hi,

Can someone PM me the settings for this device please.

Is it not worth putting the settings in a reply in this stream?

    Thanks in advance.

    Proxy and Registration
Proxy: Your Voip Proxy address (for example sip1.sipdiscount.com or sip.voipcheap.com or sipgate.co.uk etc)

Subscriber Information - (where you enter your VoIP Account details).

Supplementary Service Subscription - This is where you enable services such as Call Waiting, 3-Way Calling, block anonymous caller etc)

Audio Configuration - This is where you set-up which codecs you want to use or only use.
If you have limited broadband speed (mostly if upload is poor) then you probably only use one or more from G729a, G723 or G726)
If you want the best quality line, then you'd choose G711a (which is the standard used on a standard line) (DECT phones use G726 between handset and base-station).

(Myself, I use G711a only, have that set to my preferred codec and use that one only, but you may find other codecs are fine).

DTMF Tx Method: (This will depend on the VoIP service you use, trial and error and depends on codec) Soon know if it don't work when
try telephone banking for example and it doesn't recognise what numbers you are pressing).

    Hook Flash Tx Method: None
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I got my PAP2-NA box and comfigured it with Bextech's information today on voipstunt.

    Worked first time.

    Thanks everybody for your assistance.

If anybody is considering this option, then I would say go for it! It really was easy.

Now, I just need to work out what my voipstunt phone number is.

I noticed that the PAP2-NA box was VERY hot after just a few hours of use.

    Is this normal?

If so, I would have to reconsider this as a solution to getting rid of the landline.
I could not trust it to burn out before long?

Perhaps there is a setting that will use lower power?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Warm here not hot and it's on 24/7.

Just measuerd the temperature with one of those forehead strips placed over the vent at the top, as my unit it's standing upright on its stand.

    = 38 - 39 Deg C

I aslo used a digital ear entry thermomitor and that gave the same sort of result.

Mine's only slightly warm and it's been on for around 3 years, could be over 3 years the time has flown by.

I switched mine on for 4 hours last night and by then it was too hot to touch. I am guessing 80 degrees plus.

    Hmm.....

    Hmm.....

Somethings wrong then and like you said I also would not use it.

    Send it back.

Did you buy it from a Bilionex or something like that?
I had to return my first one as it was faulty.

The only other thing that came to mind is are you using the correct mains transformer output? (5v - 2A)
