LINKSYS PAP2-NA UNLOCKED. How to access control panel?

I have just purchased one of these off eBay and I am trying to access the Admin Control Panel to set it up.

It's doesn't come preconfigured to any service.

I presume that the Admin Control Panel is accessed via my web browser. So, if anyone can help me with this and knows what to type in, I would be very grateful for the information. Many thanks.

With a phone plugged into the PAP2, pick up the link (more than likely you will hear nothing).

Dial **** to access the IVR Menu, then enter 110#

If for example it reads back 192.168.1.10 then enter that in the browser, you can go straight to the advance and admin view by entering [IP address/admin/advanced] eg) http://192.168.1.10/admin/advanced or going via the links, you will need the advanced admin set-up.

Let me know if you want all the setting for a UK set-up (dial tones, ring cadence, caller ID method, hook flash etc), and if you require dial-plans, so as to be able to dial local numbers without the area-code as per a usual phone line etc.

(Only just saw this post, so simply copied this from the first replied to thread).

Many thanks for your reply Bextech. I have tried what you suggested but without result.

Dial **** to access the IVR Menu, then enter 110#

Did this but nothing happened. I can hear a slight buzzing sound to indicate that the phone is alive. Pressing the keys I can hear the musical dialling sounds. But I haven't got a dialling tone nor can I dial out using a normal BT landline.

    http://192.168.1.10/admin/advanced.

Did the above and got this message. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.10

Perhaps it's something to do with my Router configurations?
I have looked in my routers LAN settings and the PAP2 is there in the DHCP client list. I haven't done anything as far as setting it up here is concerned, whatever it has done its done itself.
I haven't done anything in the INTERNET SETTINGS to set up the PAP2 because I don't know if there is anything to do not. Perhaps you could advise me?

''Can I ask how the purchase went with billionax?''

1st class so far. That's if I can get it to work.
Very quick delivery. No customs charge. Cheap price £10.50 + del.

The IP address could well be listed on your router, use that IP address assigned to the PAP2.

With the PAP2 connected to the router then a phone connected to one of the phone ports of the PAP2, it should be possible to access the IVR audible config menu. How is your phone connected to the PAP2? via a BT adapter or using a filter to do the same job? The PAP2 is probably set up not to play a dial tone, unless you have entered your VoIP account settings and it's logged on.

Can you use ipconfig /all ?

in cmd window type ipconfig /all

And you should see the ip of all your devices, but I am not saying it will see the VOIP device as I have not got one to test it on.

Do you have to set up a port forward rule to the PAP2 device?

I was reading some people using other devices had to get another type of cable to connect the phone.

But I think the problem was only with BT phones.

http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=2370 allows you to plug a UK phone plug into the PAP2's phone ports, or you can use an ADSL filter to do the same job (though if you are on cable broadband and never had ADSL over BT, you may never had any).
