Worth the phone call then
Can you also post your experience in the thread I linked you too so other users can see how easy it was for you.0 -
Due to the length of the original Halifax thread I've now closed it and linked to this thread as the two banks and claims are being serviced by the same departments now although this thread was originally mainly for claimants from Scotland.0

Is In The Process Of Claming Her Bank Charges Back From The Halifax.....she Recived A Letter Say They Have 40 Days Before They Need To Send Her List Of Charges.....last Week She Had A Letter Saying Because There Was Not Enough Money In Her Account They Are Charging Her £39 Pounds.......this Is An Incress Of £9......if The Banks Know Its Wrong To Charge Why Are They Not Only Still Doing It...but Putting The Cost Up As Well?0

The Halifax is still charging ridiculous bank charges for returned payments. I had a charge last week of £39 on my current account although I am in the process of claiming back bank charges. Does anyone know of any banks that have reduced there charges. I know most of the credit crads have reduced there charges. I think I will close my account soon as claim comes through to go to a bank that has reduced it's charges.0

By the way...Don't you think for the Halifax to go in to my account, print off 350 pages of my account, post them in two large envelopes, at a cost post them back to me.
But yet I go OD for as little as 15p, and get charged £28, for an automated letter, probably with out touching human hands?
For the £28 charge to have credibility, they should charge at least £40 to send me my account pages back!0
