I change the linen on my beds every week. On the odd occasion its every 10 - 14 days but thats rare
And with regards to washing anything - the whites go on 60c and everything else on 40c. I dont care what anyone says - theres no way that the whites come out as white on a 30c wash as they do on a 60c wash (esp with my OH who seems to attract muck on anything white!!£2 Savers Club #156!
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0 -
I make sure there is never a wet patch... we always have a bath or a shower before we get into bed, i probably change the bed every 4-6 weeks. People are obsessed with changing their sheets on here!!
I change mine every week like a lot of people and I don't think that is obsessed at all. Even if you bath or shower before bed you still sweat overnight especially in the summer.Out of interest do you think it is cleaner, better, healthier (whichever phrase you fancy) to

Interested to hear your thoughts on this one xx
I wash my bedding on a 60 degree wash as otherwise I would not feel it was clean but I don't iron it as I hate ironing and find ironing bedding just a pain.
I don't use a top sheet and push the duvet over the end board of the bed when I get up and pull it back when I go to bed. Also the window in the bedroom is open all day until I go to bed so the room and bed get well aired.
I never eat in bed. I occasionally have a cup of tea first thing in the morning if OH brings me one up but that's it.The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

It's glorious here today! And it's supposed to be tomorrow as well.
We really struggle to dry closes indoors in the winter. I do maybe 3-4 loads of washing a week, 2 clothes washes, 1 towel wash and a load of soley the husbands work gear (overalls etc) a load of clothes can take upto 3 days to dry sometimes. I'm thinking of getting that heated clothes rake thing from Lakeland though. Needs must!0 -
Two singles fastened together at the base plus one headboard, so single fitted sheets and single duvets and making the beds is not daunting like it was when we were king sized. All bedding is changed every 7 days and washed at 60 on the nearest dry/sunny day so that it all gets outside for a blow at least. I have two sets of flannel winter bedding and two sets of high count cotton bedding. The instructions on the flannel were 40 but that isn`t hot enough to kill germs etc
The duvets are turned right back every day to air for most of the day and the duvets and mattresses are aired every wash day. We have a uv vacuum, which we use on the mattress when sheets are taken off. It does pick up a fair bit suprisingly

Pillows are washed on the pillow wash programme every 6 months or so and then covered in two layers then the case on top
yuk!!!

Do mine on 60 deg. wash and then always iron . I should turn covers down to air but I don't as the cats would lie on the bed and don't like lying on cat hair . Can't close the bedroom door as they like to lie on a fleecy blanket which I take off before we get into bed0
