I'm once a week, what about you? How often do you...

I definately dont do mine anywhere near as much as I should, purely down to laziness and having a massive pile of other washing to do... constantly!!
probably once every 3 weeks or if i think it's particularly mucky once a fortnight0 -
Just found this thread and found it fascinating (and I'll admit, a bit horrifying).
Although I am as far from a domestic goddess as you'll find, I change sheets minimum once a week. I often change the pillow-cases again during the week as well, I love that freshly-washed feel and smell. The bed is aired all day every day. The mattress is vacuumed and turned over often.
I really can't imagine sleeping in the same sheets for weeks on end - I feel a little bit ill just thinking about it. They must be so stale and unpleasant. Sliding into a freshly changed bed has to be one of life's nicest simple pleasures.
I wash the sheets at 60 degrees but I don't iron them (except for guests). I always iron pillow-cases though. Our tumble dryer is broken and there are 4 beds in the house but it's not that hard to get stuff washed and dried. We have plenty of spare bedding so the soiled stuff can wait for a good drying day if necessary.
I would NEVER give guests used sheets - the very thought is revolting. Imagine hopping into bed and being confronted with someone's stray pubes.
I absolutely hate the actual process of changing the bedding (I loathe all housework), so to force myself to do it, I rip all the bedding off in the morning of changing-day. If I didn't do that, the temptation to crawl back into the old bedding in the evening is too great.0 -
I have just done it, woo woo and I have put the electric blanket on the bed.
It's a job I hate, along with cleaning the oven...but that's for another thread.
I have also found out that if I wash my bedding, 90 degree today....that I can take it to the laundrette and they will dry and fold it (I may get them to iron it as I like bedding ironed) and they only charge a 1.50 service charge, on top of what it takes to dry it. Oh the small things in life make moi a happy bunny.
Anyone tackled the b word today? X0
