    Just a quick late post from me, been working late today.
    Hi all newcommers to flylady thread, I've only been here a week and the differance to the house is amazing!!

    Managed to race through the bathroom this morning and chucked out loads of old half empty bottles of stuff.

    Must say that it doesn't ever feel right throwing away half empty items even if you haven't used the hair gel, cream or lotion since 2002. It really goes against the 'old style' grain, like you should be mixing it all up and having it on a salad for the next three weeks? :rolleyes:

    Anyway with this in mind I thought that instead of throwing out that old bottle of 'sunflowers' purfume I'd just use it as a light airfreshoner around the house. Mmmm.... big mistake, the whole house stinks like a tarts handbag and its not going away.
    Me and my bright ideas, stick to Glade next time.

    First things first, welcome emmie! The flylady ethos is lovely, but I found the site and e-mails a bit overwhelming and american. I have a passion for all things american, so coming from me it must be bad! :D

    I don't blame you Shirley, after the weight gain, piles and cravings, you get the always enjoyable labour at the end. Why am I doing this again? :eek:

    Good luck with todays flying AnWsmum, I'm lucky to be in the position of not working at the moment, I can't imagine how hard it must be to keep up with the lists, the dailies AND have to work on top. I don't know how you all do it.

    Well done aimeelister! 157 is very impressive, you might have to change your name to amazinglister at that rate! :rotfl:

    Little man has just woken up and is already wearing his power rangers suit, so I'm expecting to have super-powered help all day. Or a super pain in the behind - lots of cries of "No, don't dust the telly with the sword! :eek: Use the cloth, the cloth!!!" That's usually how it goes. All accompanied by the hummed version of the power rangers theme tune.

    WILL get dressed NOW. In five or ten minutes after another cuppa. And a biscuit. ;)

    Friday Flying - Kids rooms and spare rooms

    1. [STRIKE]Strip beds for wash, replace linen after vacuuming mattress (don't want bugs do we!) [/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Make sure everything is in it's place, or if required delegate to the offending child[/STRIKE]!
    3. [STRIKE]Dust where needed, what about the top of that wardrobe [/STRIKE]?
    4. [STRIKE]Clean window (check incase curtains need a wash while you are there)[/STRIKE]
    5. [STRIKE]Vacuum floor[/STRIKE]

    [STRIKE]Have a little quick tidy and vacuum of the high traffic areas that need it so you can have the weekend off[/STRIKE], apart from dailies of course. Have a lovely weekend. (You too lil_me!)

    Firdayits.gifMorning all. Had a mini-lie-in this morning as I decided not to try and do my exercises as I've got a bit of a sore back this morning, must have been the position I slept in last night :rolleyes: Still got up at 6.55 though, which makes a change :rotfl:

    I guess I must have been lucky with my cravings when I was having DD - it was ham salad bamps with lots of butter or prawn mayonnaise sandwiches from Boots :drool: I took no notice of the "no nuts / raw eggs" and DD seems to be fine :D My problem was I couldn't stand the smell of any meat (particularly red) cooking, not a good thing since OH loves his meat and I was pregnant over Christmas, plus I had awful morning sickness which lasted all day at first, and then again in the final week. :rolleyes: Well I've got no worries if it will happen again...been on the pill for 6 years now and OH is still saying "no more" :rotfl:

    Right, back to the cleaning :D

    • Downstairs Floors - quick mop will do after a hoover.
    • Take DD's birthday cards down - now been up 2 weeks :o
    • DD's paperwork into a folder...if I can just find those b**ming dividers!
    • Set up payment for CC for 26th.

    Right, need to move out the way so DD can have the computer while I do her hair and then get on with jobs...thinking bathroom etc first to make sure OH hasn't left the bathroom window open again! :wave:

    Morning everyone :hello:

    Welcome emmie :wave:

    I'm feeling lethargic this morning which is nothing new as Friday I always feel like this, think it's cause it's the end of another tiring week lol. Got film night to look forward to tonight though - DVD Rental and popcorn for me and teenie and OH if he turns up (the other two sleep out) probs gonna get The Queen or You, Me & Dupree if I can twist teenies arm. Had a bizarre dream last night and I seem to have woken up sad for some strange reason, but I'm hoping another brew/some music/and getting started will help it wear off.

    Friday Flying - Kids rooms and spare rooms N/A

    1. Strip beds for wash, replace linen after vacuuming mattress (don't want bugs do we!)
    2. Make sure everything is in it's place, or if required delegate to the offending child!
    3. Dust where needed, what about the top of that wardrobe ?
    4. Clean window (check incase curtains need a wash while you are there) still waitng for OH to put a rail up
    5. Vacuum floor

    Only littleys room to do as the other two do their own :j

    My list:

    * hoover through
    * make beds
    * do dishes
    * empty DW
    * TD x 1 (it's raining)
    * wipe cloakroom toilet
    * hoover stairs (still haven't done it)
    * clear landing (as above)
    * anything that turns up along the way

    Didn't get round to doing the bathroom either yesterday *tuts* I wouldn't care it only takes me about 15 minutes to do so why do I detest doing it :confused:

    Well, off to make that brew so have a nice day everyone x

    Hiya
    Welcome to all the new people joining. I can vouch that this really works unless you go off the rails for a few weeks and stop logging on. Anyway, i'm back now.

    Today i'm going to concentrate on dd's bedroom. It's a bit sad because that's where our cat liked to sleep so I know i'll find his toys and stuff in there but it needs to be sorted out. I'm trying to prepare for a busy weekend as we're moving a shed to get a trampoline in the back corner of the garden and that means tonnes of stuff has to be moved. Wish me luck!

    Catch up with you later

    LJ ((((((((hugs))))))))

    Well, I've hoovered through, done halfway up the stairs where the wire would reach and that's it, I seriously don't feel like doing anything, I've got the hot sweats, a bad back and now an iffy stomach I'm feeling worse as the minutes tick by.

    Gonna call it a day and curl up somewhere, hopefully I'll feel a bit better later on x

    emmie welcome hope you enjoy joining us, there is a list posted daily apart from weekends on the first post, dailies are your own daily jobs, every week a new thread is started

    Click Post Reply
    At the menu at the top you will see an S with a line through in a little box, like this [STRIKE]S[/STRIKE] highlight what you want to strike (left click on left side of it, hold mouse down and drag across just incase you don't know, it'll get a coloured background on what you have dragged over) then click on it. It'll put the strike through what you typed. Don't be scared to have a little practise on the thread. Or you can click the strike button and then put your typing between the 2 sets of brackets

    If you click Quote on this post you'll see how it [STRIKE]looks[/STRIKE] before it's posted.

    Well made a start, kids beds stripped and in wash, unfortunately weather here is yak and they'll have to go in the drier. Done some tidying but needs more, what a mess they have managed to create in a week!!!

    Dogs been out, was out 45 minutes in the rain but met another walker down there with a dog almost as potty as mine :rotfl: so walked with them which was nice and passed the time much easier, plus the dogs have worn themselves out running around like idiots and are now asleep. Downside is they'd just cut the grass at the park, so will need to vacuum that all up as the dogs ran through scattering it all over. Waiting to vacuum as DP is in bed, same with rest of boys room as I was making too much noise.

    I have started some more on kitchen, did a little last night, when DP gets up we need to remove the benches and cut them, move fridge and freezer that is there for now until new arrives.

    FAO everyone, there may be slight changes to flylady thread, a new one will start Monday but may be a little different, just discussing with board guides, don't worry all will be explained.

    LJ ((hugs)) missed you, hope everythings ok.
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:
