    Morning everyone,

    sorry i didn't pop in yesterday. Flying is off my agenda for the time being. I went out to playgroup as normal yesterday after getting the SC on with a sausage casserole for dinner, but we found out my aunty was poorly with flu, so sis went to visit her while me and my other sister had her little boy, and it turned out she has pneumonia and was taken in to hospital.

    God knows how long she will be in for, as when nephew had it a few years ago it was about 3 weeks. Plus, she is a large lady and it has really made her very ill, and we are so worried about whether she will be able to shift it.

    Basically, she isn't married, and only has us, and her dad in his 70s. So most of the extra work will fall on us, as there is no-one else. So plan for the day,
    • try to get a quick bath myself
    • get me and bubs dressed
    • get chicken curry out of the freezer for dinner
    • pack baby bag up
    • go to shop to get a couple of bits to send into hospital
    • go over to watch nephew while sister takes dad to the nurse for his dressings changed (dad in wheelchair and has bad ulcers)
    • then watch both sisters boys while my sister takes dad to visit his sister
    • i then may end up going to my sisters to help her out, as she will be the one doing most visiting as charlie is too clingy to leave, and other sis and mum work, and as she is also getting married in 8 weeks i don't want her over-doing it and getting ill herself.
    • come home, do what i can to keep on top of the house, make dinner
    • bins and recycling need to go out for tomorrow morning.
    Hugs all round. Was impressed to see everyone flying.

    morning lovelies! :hello: Hope everyone's ok this fine morn :)

    scaredy cat Hope your little one's feeling a bit better today x

    Lovely and sunny and windy here today soa good drying day (huzzah!) so I'll be putting the load that's been sitting in the WM since yesterday out on the line shortly, it's funny but I absolutely refuse to have the TD on as soon as April comes (unless I REALLY have to) hence why it's still there lol. Littley's better and back at school so I can get stuck in again today.

    Had a late night last night cause daft bat here forgot to get some electric and I'd already used the emergency so we were in the dark, it was after 10pm and I had to drive round the whole of shields looking for somewhere open that did it, I'll not do that again :D

    OK,

    Bathroom

    1. Wipe down tiles
    2. Clean bath, sink and toilet inc cistern and handle
    3. Clean any bath mats
    4. Clean floor

    My list:-

    * Hoover through
    * tidy living room
    * do dishes
    * make beds
    * hang washing out
    * fold dry washing and take upstairs
    * get littleys dancing bag ready
    * clear stairs from junk (didn't do it the other day :o )
    * Do master bedroom (didn't get round to that either) but only take 15 mins or so
    ADDED jobs
    * put rubbish in outside bin
    * clean front door glass
    * hoover stairs (they're lifting :eek: )
    * go get some Gas

    Gonna finish my brew first and sort some emails etc then I'll get cracking.

    Happy flying ladies x :wave:
  • morning all - i can't believe how much you have all done!! i haven't been up for an hour yet as was up a fair bit in the night with dd2. she seems a bit perkier this morning although still a bit clingy - she has had a virus on and off for about a month and all dr says is calpol so if she isn't better tomorrow it will be off there again - feel like its my second home at mo!!

    as dh is still off work (schools go back next week here) he got up with girls - as well as taking a turn getting up in night - bless him. Will have to get downstairs all swished today as meeting here tonight and will also get bathroom done but we are also going to have a pop to beach as it is so lovely. and there are not many tourists around as lots of schools gone back already - so no huge queues - the only downside to living here!

    well off to do something useful while dh is having his shower as so far only played musical statues!!

    catch you all later

    [STRIKE]Sorry for the late posting, extra for today, sort any 'out of date' toiletries and make up - basically anything that has been open over 2 years, anything that's been open longer than it should be (there should be a little label with a container and amount of months use by from opened on it[/STRIKE]) Did this last week.. next to nothing left now!! [STRIKE]Sort through any well worn towels that you haven't used for ages and been meaning to fling, if there is anything you need to throw away/recycle. Glad she's a little better scaredy cat, my DD suffers from month long viruses aswell :( I think that's why I'm on edge as soon as she becomes poorly cause I worry the entire time and I hate it!

    Found a few more jobs along the way as per usual :rolleyes: but I'm hoping to get everything done before 12 then the afternoon's mine, I do feel a trip to the shops coming on but tbh there's nothing I need so I'd be wasting my time and my money cause inevitably I'd buy something which, if I went now with my rumbly tummy, would be a Subway :D

    Hair Dye
    Beware - this is one of the toughest stains to remove, especially if the hair dye was the dreaded black. Prevention really is the best thing by wearing old clothes when dyeing your hair and applying Vaseline to the hairline to stop seepage onto your face. If you do manage to stain something, speed in dealing with it is vital.
    If hair dye is spilt onto vinyl flooring, gently remove by rubbing the area with alcohol and a clean cloth. If the dye goes onto carpet, dab first with cold water and then apply some neat detergent to the stain before sponging off with warm water. You may have to repeat several times. If the stain persists, try some commercial stain remover and then carpet shampoo afterwards, if necessary. As a last resort, you can try lightening the stain with hydrogen peroxide solution.

    Hope that helps Shirley. Perfume, the others are right, it does go a funny colour and smells funny. As it's alcohol tends to be a few years before it goes off. You will usually get little 'floaters' in a really old bottle. I' say do a smell test and a test on your skin, if it stinks or causes a reaction fling it.

    scaredy cat if it makes you feel better I have done naff all. I had a GP appointment this morning as soon as I dropped kids off at school, spent 20 minutes waiting for prescription (our pharmacy is the slowest I have ever know) when I got back call from school as soon as I walked through the door DS1 broken his glasses, so went straight down there with the 'spares' box to fix them. Come back and needed to check emails for eBay stuff so I can get it posted, so here I am, I've done naff all.

    Had a great call yesterday to say delivering my fridge freezer on Monday, but there is a downside. I was expecting it being 4 weeks. By Monday I have to clear the kitchen out completelt, freecycle the fridge to be collected Monday paint at least where it's going as it's huge. Also need to get DP to get the saw to cut the kitchen benches as we need to modify them to fit it in. The caller also said what size doorways we need. We're actually going to have to take a door off to get it in. Oh what fun!!!!! Additional problem, some things I need DPs help with and his Playstation 3 arrived this morning, so it's going to be a fight and a half getting him motivated!!!

    Right, bathroom first, then the 3 PC areas upstairs (2 in kids PC room and one in my room) need to anti virus them aswell. Then clean the 2 laptops, all hopefully before 12 noon as for the first time in over a year I have an appointment to get my hair done! Then out most of the evening with sons motor skills club, then youth club, then swimming. What's the bets I collapse in a heap tonight!!

    Michelle hope your aunty is better soon, sounds frightening.
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:

    Just catching up with myself...spent most of the morning editing ebay photographs :rolleyes: I have 11 items ready to be listed but loads more to still do. I think I'll take Pigpens advise and set up the items with photos and put a "Details to follow" thing in the information bit ;) I am so not in the mood for doing it today but if I don't then I'm going to be falling over these boxes for another 3 months! :mad:

    Oh well, off to make a sandwich (if I can find anything to put on it other than Marmite...YUK!) and then on with the weighing/listing :rolleyes: :wave:

    Lil_me - I'd hide the PS3 until he's done the jobs and then go "oh BTW this arrived and I forgot to tell you" :rotfl: Can you tell I've done that before today ;)
    Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
    Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
