Big thanks to all of you, but particularly kiwi and mermaid for your support. It does mean a lot. Haven't got time to keep in touch with my friends at the moment, although i will be making some time to see them when this is finished.
No new news this morning. My family managed to get home last night after waiting for hours for them to put dialysis lines in and see that she was still stable but working hard when this was done. We are all having a bit of time at home today to regroup, and get some of the essentials done for getting the kids to school and so on come tomorrow morning.
Personally, i should be having a tidy up and making some baby purees up, but i am having a rest as i feel exhausted still. I don't feel like i slept well, and i've been on edge since getting up wanting to find out what was going on. (didn't want to ring up too early as i didn't know how well they would have slept). I'll make a start on the essentials soon.
Might have a 2nd breakfast soon, as i also have severe munchies. Now fancy a mocha square, but i am also a long way from catowen.

Well done Michelle. Glad the family is taking a short break today. Is there a park or a nice place where you can all take a walk or short visit? A change of scenery or pace might do you all good even for a short space of time.
Don't tire yourself out though. Just get essential things covered and rest. It's amazing how tiring emotional stress is. Remember we're all here when you need us and virtual hugs to all of you.MFiT Member No 85

Maralum - well done to your DS, he sounds like hes been a little treasure this week. I always remember never wanting to be like my mum - but realised i had turned into her, when i told my DS to 'pick your feet up, you're scuffing your shoes!!!'
Michelle - big hugs to you, im sure your friends will understand re you not being in touch, and im sure the housework will still be there later if you dont feel like doing it yet (mine is still here!)
Actually, ive just wiped my kitchen down, and swept the floor - its a bit strange today, normally i always do a Sunday roast, and im a bit lost this morning as i dont have to make one. Just waiting for DDs friends to get here, so that we can leave for her party, shes so excited bless her!!!0 -
Hi all
Hope things work out for the best soon Michelle. Letting go of those we love is very hard but watching them suffer is no easier. Please remember to take care of yourself, your health and wellbeing are extremely important too, your have got that little man to look after.
Marmalum - what you said is so true. I too am guilty of treating my 4 year old like she is much older and expect too much from her sometimes. She is a wonderful little person and thats the message I want to instill in her (well both my girls). It is so easy to concentrate on the negative and ignore the positive - I too have been trying really hard this week to compliment the littles when they play nicely together etc.
Not much flying today as at work. Did put a wash on before I left and asked DH to peg it out. I too have found that by leaving a list of jobs that need doing they are actually getting done. I am amazed, why did I not think of this 13 years ago?? I could have had a much easier life all this time.
House still tidy, beds made, hoovered, kitchen swiped - the usual dailies done. Got to make burgers for tea and some ironing to do but nothing major.
Right as its quiet will attempt to get on with the meal plan!
Happy days everyone!0 -
Hi to everyone. Hope you are all having a good weekend and hugs to those of you who are not!!!! I am not flying today at all......... I've had a sore throat since Friday, thought I had a cold or something coming as little one has had a nasty virus for the past few days, got up this morning and I couldn't swallow, my head was pounding and I had weird lumpy things all over the back of my throat - I was agony, got in at the Primary Care centre anyway and I've got Pharyngitis and am now on anti-biotics and anti-inflammatory tablets. Must say anti-inflammatories are already kicking in and I can now swallow a bit easier. Hubby has said he will look after me and LO today and do what needs to be done round the house, he's in the kitchen at the moment putting together a weird and wonderful concoction from the freezer bless him!!!! Hoping I'll be feeling a lot better tomorrow and can get cracking with the new look lists.
Take Care everyone
