Sorry for the late posting, extra for today, sort any 'out of date' toiletries and make up - basically anything that has been open over 2 years, anything that's been open longer than it should be (there should be a little label with a container and amount of months use by from opened on it) Sort through any well worn towels that you haven't used for ages and been meaning to fling, if there is anything you need to throw away/recycle. They can be used as dish cloths, most cat and dog shelters will be happy to accept them as blankets etc
Ok, I am going to have lunch then tackle my bathroom - I will get my house sparkling!

Michelle - sorry to 'hear' your news, hope she get better soon and echo whats been said - sounds like you have a lovely close family.
Mrsspendalot - you will get your house sparkling - honest! I've been doing it for weeks now and everytime time a day comes round it gets easier. Like most others I have a daily to do list (washing, baby bottles, etc) and this helps me to get things done - my washing basket is normally empty now (1st time ever!)

Thanks for the welcome.
Well my bathroom is clean and sparkling as is my desk & pc and printer etc. I do, however, have a massive pile of paperwork in my 'in-tray' that desperately needs filing and/or shredding. So I may tackle that tonight.
Washing machine is on, and washing is on the line
Haven't pushed the hoover round yet as it scares dsOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Haven't really flown today, but I did the bathroom on Monday and my pc is in the hall so that gets done most days.
Did two loads of washing including DD's bedding. All dry, folded and put away.
DD and I went shopping this morning. She got all her holiday clothes and I got new clothes and trainers for DH. Then we had lunch out. Lovely not to have to cook for once.
Just got to water the plants when the shade comes round a bit more. It will be dark when I come home from work so I need to do it before I go.
Spending money is very tiring, I feel shattered!0 -
Welcome mrsspendalot, you'll love this thread, it's really friendly and a great motivator. The lists are really sensible too. None of that 'trying to get too much done' and getting discouraged. Dare I say it?...I even ENJOY cleaning my house now. Once the house is relatively clutter-free and clean, the maintenance is easy.
Of course, after the baby's born, the first thing I'll be eating is those words!!! :rotfl:
Well done tracyg, you're so good at getting through the lists! I wish I had your get-up-an-go, but today DS and I opted for a sofa-snooze in lieu of tidying. In fact, DS is still indulging in one.
Well done michelle on your listings, I don't have much patience for it myself. My favourite is selling DVDs, you can just type in the barcode number and it brings up the cover and description. Now that's my kind of sales work.
Pollybear, that sounds delightful, though I agree, very tiring. Especially having to work on top this afternoon, what a bring-down! Still, at least you got to be a 'lady who lunches' today. I ate 3 glazed doughnuts and 16 olives. And two iced lollies. And a chocolate digestive. Not exactly haute cuisine, but my craving has been toothpaste, so at least I avoided that! That reminds me, I'll go and brush my teeth right now, while it's nice and quiet. Good lord, I love that minty freshness.0 -
Plants watered now. I'm sitting here yawning so wide my eyes keep watering
Too late for a nap now, I've got to go to work in an hour or so.

shell it's the girls rooms tomorrow anyway, so you'd have been ahead of us if you had done it.
I'm going to post the list early as this has been another one of those days with so much to do and so little time, in fact apart from the list and most dailies (but not all) I've done very little, if I am completely honest the jobs on the list were also done in a rush and aren't perfect but they'll do for now. Have to take boys swimming soon and it's always a time where I don't know when we'll get back.
mrsspendalot, welcome, I have one son who is petrified of the vacuum cleaner, thankfully I've managed distraction inc headphones etc to distract him, seriously considering ear plugs.
maralum, you are the first other person I have known had a toothpaste cravingoh mine was bad, family size aquafresh daily, would go to friends bathroom if I was there and needed toothpaste
Problem is now my mouths very sensitive to toothpaste.
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
My goodness lil_me, I love that stuff! Apparently it's non-toxic...so far I've managed to handle it by just brushing about six times a day, but I so badly want to eat it!!! I sniff it too if my mouth is feeling sensitive. Mints just aren't the same. Too sweet and not "fluffy" enough!
My mum's was fire lighters (the white wax sticks - she used to crumble them between her fingers and rub them on her face). It's so horrid having a non-edible craving. I totally sympathise with the coal-eaters!0 -
Afternoon all, my, you all have been busy.. I, on the other hand haven't done much flying, pottered about the house, then picked kids up from school, into the town centre to pick up DD1 new glasses, DD2 had netball match and realised she had forgot her trainers, thank goodness for good old Woolworths were we purchased some sandshoes for £2, in the car to netball match, home for tea, quick change for girls and then piano and Guides, but the piano teacher just cancelled so I get an hour to take a breath and blitz the bathroom...
Still have to do some typing work tonight
take washing in,
put ironing away
dishes
tidy living room
hoover
sort out parcel for sister
Better get on with it then, bye for now
Michelle Hope your aunt makes a speedy recovery.
lil-me Lucky you with your american fridge, I would love one of those, do you have to plumb it into your water supply, so you can have fresh ice cold water? Wish I had the kitchen to go with one of those fridges..0
