Nicki me too! DS is only 4, but very interested in how exactly the baby got into my tummy. As he's so little, I didn't want to overwhelm him with facts, so I told him that DH gave me a special seed which mixed up with one of my seeds and made a baby.

Now he keeps asking me why I ate DHs seeds :o . Only a four-year-old could make me blush like that! I thought I was being very sensible, but I don't know how much detail I should go into now. He seems to have the wrong end of the stick. :rotfl:

Phew.. things are starting to look decent again in this house. :D

So far I have cleaned the living room. (just not hoovered under the furniture..)
It's dusted, tidied, floor is done (both hoovered and mopped) and did the kitchen and hallway floor at the same time.

There are a few hotspots left like my new cabinet (when the mouse is away.. the DH piles crap on my new cabinet!!) but I've just ran out of energy. There is only so much one woman can do in one day.

I've had enough for now. Got loads of paperwork to do still, and I might just get enough courage to tackle that in a bit.

Time for a cup of coffee and a wee rest until little rugrat wakes up from her nap.

You could just tell him: "because we wanted to have a baby!"
    :D:D:D

I told my kids: "Mummy and daddy made love, and then sometimes that starts a baby growing in mummy's tummy."

When they got older I told them the 'bigger' version.

Tried that one... but DD has an encyclopedia & a human body book which both explain, through a diagram, how (as we put it) "Lady bits" look like and work when developing a baby, and then also what "men's bits" look like (not all the detail though) and one explains what has to happen (sperm and egg with diagram) but she just keeps asking me to explain it to her. I just don't want her going into school and blabbing things :o It's embarrasing enough when she starts singing Avril Lavines latest song (I don't like your Girlfriend one) or similar at the top of her voice in the shops :o Cute, but embarrasing. :rotfl: I think I have it sussed. But we'll have to see when she gets in.

Blimey 3pm! I better go and have a wash, write my cousins card and get changed

    Hi all,
Just popped home for an hour and its great to come home to a clean house, rather than a dusty mess.
Got up early today to get all the living room, hall & stairs done before work. A nice smug feeling passed over me when I left for work! :j
So I'm going to fit in that pile of ironing, the pile the size of K2 thats been growing for the past month (or so) tonight.
Can't believe I'm looking forward to seeing tomorrows fly lists!
    Gotta get out more.

    Today I have done NOTHING!!!

I have loaded both WM's and the DW and have an extra child to feed tonight.. not quite sure how that happened but she is here all the same... spaghetti bolognese with sneaked in veggies then!

I front room and back room were both cleared and cleaned yesterday.. the kitchen still needs bit of a once over but it is all looking rather nice at the moment.. downstairs!!

I'm looking forward to it being ahll and stairs because I did those yesterday too.. it is so easy to run the vacuum over the whole downstairs if you don't have to spend 3 days trying to locate the carpet!!.. I love you lot!!

My bedroom however.. is a bag of droppings!!! I really need to shift some stuff up there.. hopefully ebay will help (10p listing on Thursday!!) as I have a pile of stuff as yet unlisted.. must get some pics done tomorrow.

OH stopping for drinks after work so may tackle the ironing pile when baby goes to bed for the night. May be back to chat later!!

God you'd think it'd be easier with kids back to school, but then all the appointments etc come in. Have had 20 minutes in the house since this morning, did latter of sitting room then. Dailies mainly done this morning. Ovens being cleaned again, racks in bath :o forgot last night, stuff in bottom soaking, here's hoping I can get all the plastic off!!! Hall is next, that needs gutting! Hols and me being ill has mean't dumped shoes, coats, wellies, bags etc, there is even a leisure battery out there. That's also my hotspot for the day, aswell as the dining table, wouldn't believe we ate a it last night the amount of c*ap that's on it now. None of it mine either !!! Anyway, hall is next, wish me luck.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hello everyone.
Just caught up with all today's posts, what a busy lot you've been!
I've been in from work for half an hour and am just having a cuppa before starting tea.
Will do today's list after DS has gone to bed and before DH gets in from work.

Also need to do some more work on my appraisal as that is happening tomorrow at work.

DH is taking a day off so I'm going to ask him to do all the downstairs windows like he said he would at the weekend and didn't and maybe a few other little jobs!
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
