Kiwi well done :D Good luck with the rest of the decorating, enjoy your stripping! Same offer applies, if anyone else fancies doing mine you are quite welcome to it :o

Thanks lil_me would love to offer but I have a whole house to do here. We've been here nearly 3yrs and haven't touched the place (apart from the kitchen) not that it's in a mess but just not to our taste :D

We're saving up for re-plastering  so decorating is just a stop gap and trying to do it as cheap as poss. It's a 1920ish house and all the rooms have the original plaster and it's now coming away from the brickwork so it's going to cost a bomb. Room by room is the way to pay I think :rotfl: We've already taken the plaster off 1 wall in a bedroom exposing the brickwork and we found cat paw prints on 3 of the bricks :rotfl:

Anyway kids now in bed, DH on way home and I'm going to have a quick shower. TTFN

Blimey sounds like you have your work cut out there Kiwi, my hall DP has been told he's doing half. The damage which consists of chunks out of paper etc was caused by him bringing a motorbike in the house when he was working on the shed. No I am not kidding, that includes riding the motorcross bike up the 6 steps outside the house and it being in the living room every night for several weeks!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

We have a 1900's house with original victorian lime and horsehair render and it's a nightmare. So far we've had 2 rooms replastered, the dining room is read to be done, just need to get hold of the plasterers.

Yep that's the stuff :rotfl: Trouble is previous owner got someone in to just skim some walls so double trouble  If you don't mind can you give me a rough idea price wise per room as we haven't bothered with quotes yet as it'll take a while to save :rotfl:

Sorry peeps this is quite off topic so could you pm me Shirley?

  • evening all not sure if i have posted yet or not - took ages to read everything - thread about telling children about babies has been making me laugh. I remember my sister asking my mum what a vasectomy was and mum said it was an op to stop man being able to have a baby, she said men don't have babies and mum said it takes a man and a woman, sis put her hand up and said alright alright i get the picture - mum always said she answered the questions but never gave more info unless it was asked for - and it was asked for over time a bit of a drip drip - if you see what i mean - it wasn't with held on purpose but i remember my friends v little one (under 5) asking where babies come from and she gave a big answer and all that was really asked was 'mummy's tummy' - which was the bit the little one rememered!!

Catowen well done, even if you have come to a stop still have done a lot, and thanks for the giggle, 5 times, my god he must think Pigpen's even crazier with 8! Speaking of which where are you Pigpen!!!!

The miscarriage/failure to produce a baby is a harder talk!! I've done that a few times too!

And no I didn't have sex 8 times.. I am a squid and can store pockets of 'seeds' in my tentacles for use at a later date lol.

    I'm here!!!!

Busy enjoying the sun, putting the children to bed and taking extra children home.. I am starting to think I have 12!!! lol.

I've been out to the pub the last 3 nights.. tonight I am off to my mothers, she is wanting to do a crap boot on Sunday so I am helping her part with her junk.. basically empty her house into the back of the car lol!!!

My house is bearable.. the kitchen is still needing a whizz over.. my bedroom is a disgrace.. but if I can see the crappet I'll want to rip it up and bin it!!

Anyway.. I'll go see what tomorrows tasks are and see how many I can get away with not doing!!!!!

Evening! Have been laughing at the where babies come from stories, thankfully mine can't talk yet! Well done to everyone with crossed off lists! Am pleased with what I've done today, once baby went down we've just 'flyed' the garden, FIL did most this morning we just needed to tidy and plant bits we'd fetched - it looks great, don't want to move now! Hands and knees clean of kitchen floor
Tidy anything that I don't want on photos
