right well i spent another 1.5 hours this week cleaning the oven! maybe next week i'l actually be able to tackle the rest of the kitchen, or maybe the oven will have magiced itself another inch of grime on the bottom - where does it all come from?

Have you tried that tip of wiping the oven out with white vinegar while it is still warm? Honestly, it is like magic, and if done once a week, your oven will look like you don't use it.

tracyg i'm glad you have an understanding DH. Sorry to hear that you have had a bad day. Hospitals seem to bring out the worst in some people. My dad was in hospital for 9months, and that was a real nightmare visiting all the time plus trying to get on with life. We all basically gave up everything for that time, particularly in the 1st couple of months.

maralum make sure you have some feet up time as well in the next couple of weeks. Don't want you popping early. ;) Says me, who was scrubbing the oven and changing bedding and cleaning windows the day before i went into labour. Then when my waters broke, everyone on here had a giggle at me because i was up washing my PJs and dressing gown before going to the hospital as i knew DH wouldn't. Good job i did as i was in hospital for a week.

But my point is, don't knack yourself up before the birth, as housework is always there, but you won't get back this level of free time for a bit once bubs is here.

    Evening everyone,

It looks like you've all had a very productive day! I've not long come in from work as one of the vets needed me to help with a caesarian - 8 new staffy puppies, lost the tinest one but the others were all healthy when I left and the mummy was also doing fine.

I did manage to do quite a bit before leaving home at lunchtime though......

I also did 3 loads of washing, 2 of which are dry and have been put away but that reminds me there's still another load to sort before bed. I put a casserole in the slow cooker, sorted dh's tax disc out for the car and I'm just about to sort packed lunches and clothes for tomorrow before heading off to bed;) night-night.

Millionaireintraining welcome back to the 'real' world.

I've just ordered my fridge freezer, 10% off code + a £10 off on Littlewoods I just couldn't resist. Ordered his PS2 off there aswell. No interest. 10% commision. 6% cashback from quidco should save us on the whole order £360 :D on the order plus its 12 months interest free if we don't want to pay it all off sooner. Seems no point as it's interest free but I like to if I can :o Over the moon, it may be a 'debt' we're getting but only a 12 month interest free payment one, no extra charges etc and can afford the payments no problem. Just seemed sensible.

Awww bless HopeElizzy, shame you lost one, but Staffy pups are adorable, I better shhhh or I'll end up with another dog. DP informed me he almost brought a 4 month old Labrador home at weekend that needed rehoming, I have to start saying no or we'll end up being a rescue centre before I know it :o Speaking of which puppy still no better, kennel cough still not gone, must ring vet again tomorrow.

Oh and trust the weather, went to soft play area to get the boys out, came out and the sun was out! Needless to say I was a bit miffed off as wanted to go to the seaside!!! Pity was 5pm by then.

:( big booo booo just been done tonight. I cleaned the oven today and pressumed that was the bizarre smell when cooking dinner. NOPE! I had used a new baking tray, haddn't noticed it had a plastic hanger thing from where they can hang it in the shop. So guess whats all over the racks and bottom of my OVEN melted bloomin' plastic!! I am so annoyed with myself, just cleaning it today and feel rather stupid, so I shall have to add OVEN AGAIN on tomorrows list! Top it all off I'm out all day almost, so don't know when I'll fit it all in. Think I'll put the racks in the bath, again, before I go to bed.

Broomstick - is it the bottom or the racks that are getting icky? Racks try the soaking in the bath with bio washing powder, bottom I have invested in a non stick sheet to put in the bottom of mine, then I can just take it out and wash it. Downside is I couldn't find it tonight until after I made dinner so didn't use it :( they also do 'oven liners' in some shops.
One day I might be more organised...........

Hi all, nice to meet you,
I'm new to all this flylady stuff, but having spent many a lovely weekend cleaning the house I've decieded to finally get to grips with a weekday routine of cleaning to leave my weekends free from cleaning.
I've manage to fit in Mondays tasks this evening but will need to have an early start tomorrow on the Living Room / Hall before I leave for work.
    1. [STRIKE]Wipe down all worktops, cupboard doors, drawer fronts and windowsill.[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Clean top of cooker, inside of fridge and microwave[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Clean sink & drainer [/STRIKE]
    4. [STRIKE]Sort out fridge make sure anything that needs using soon is at front[/STRIKE]
    5.[STRIKE] Clean washer drawer out[/STRIKE]
    6. [STRIKE]If you didn't do the oven last week have a go this week[/STRIKE] Did this at the weekend
    7. [STRIKE]Clean kitchen window[/STRIKE]
    8. [STRIKE]Wipe the washer, fridge and freezer front make sure those appliances sparkle[/STRIKE]
    9. [STRIKE]Clean floor[/STRIKE]
No Dining Room or Downstairs Toilets
I've not added any extras yet, though there is the cuboard under the stairs that looks like I'm playing Jenga each time I open the door?

[STRIKE]Extra for today if you have time, 27 fling boogie of any room/multiple rooms, anything that needs to go, charity shop, freecycle, handdowns, ebay stuff or just plain old rubbish, if it needs to go fling it in a bag and get rid. Time to declutter![/STRIKE]

basil well done, you did better than my first day. As for cupboards that are like a Jenga game, I usually challenge everyone on one day of the week, at random, to do ONE cupboard of their own choice, so don't wory you'll get a nudge to do it some time soon.

Those who requested dailies lists, I will hopefully have them with you tomorrow, they are on one of the PCs upstairs which just typically became a pain in the bum when I switched it on today, it's got a virus (damn kids) so will hopefully be sorted by tomorrow and will email then.

Spent the morning doing two loads of laundry, changing my bed (seem to have started night sweats - ugh - hope it's just the left overs from not being well at the weekend!)
    Spent an hour at the reserve running puppy and kids up and down hills, splashing in ponds, etc, in an effort to tire everyone out;
Came home and promptly fell asleep on couch in sun :o

Up in time for quick yoghurt for lunch and off to work!

Games night for us and friends tonight . . . that's why I don't think much will get done LOL.

Hope everyone is well, welcome newbies, promise to read all posts tomorrow :)
