I love this one! My sitting room's looking pretty darn spiffy, if I do say so myself! Have removed all unnecessary items in the last couple of weeks, so it doesn't take long to do now. I find myself actively looking for dirty things to clean now - nesting much? :rotfl:

    Hello and WOWEE!!
I don't think I've ever had to wade through 4 pages of posts before I get to the end before.I only had the briefest of catch-up reading so.. poorly people get better soon, people coming back for another dose of [STRIKE]discipline[/STRIKE] fun - you know it makes sense, lots of newbies - welcome. Everyone seems to have been busy!

I 'kitchened' last night as I knew I'd be late home today but I may tackle another cupboard while tea is cooking so I can get back in synch for tomorrow. I won't do another 27 fling thing as the last one is still in the boot of my car waiting for dropping at a charity shop. I'll have to find one near work; I'd worry about bumping into someone in my little town wearing my old stuff especially if it suited them better!

I have to say, I have a lot of admiration for those of you with other people to take care of and who have a million and one things to do in a day. I barely manage keeping up with me and the moggies. I really like coming on this thread, I definately feel less overwhelmed with household stuff and the more control I'm getting it's spilling over into the rest of my life. What a find you all are! Thanks.

No more Life on Mars so I may pop back later.
    Have a useful evening.

  • Yay I've done one of the things on my bedroom list :) It's only taken me about 3 months to do.

I nearly, very nearly booked my microsoft exam for the end of July today, until I realised that I had a 10% discount voucher at home and it would be very non MSE to book it without the discount. Though I should be able to claim the money back from work. I have no idea how I am going to manage working and studying, if anyone has any pointers please let me know. I think I may have to give up my internet time, but I need to be on the computer to study so I can't avoid the computer and it's too easy to just pop on here or there for 5 minutes and then suddenly 5 minutes is 20 mins !!

Pleased with list as should not take too long at all. Got another viewer tomorrow but not till 7pm (littles usually on way to bed about this time) but what can you do:rolleyes: .

    Also need to:-

    Take DD1 to pre-school
    Do some shopping
    Trip to veg shop

Bit miffed - tried to put littles trampoline together and its a bit more tricky than we thought. We thought nuts and bolts seems I need to push one way and DH the other to get the bars to slot in together - not fun in fact as DH hurt his back gardening yesterday all the bits now in the shed - gonna have 2 not very happy littles tomorrow:cry:

Plus we are now worried if we do ever sell this bl**dy house how will we get it apart again. Gotta phone removal co and see if it would fit in assembled. Why or why is nothing ever simple???? I remember when I was little you bought a bike and it came assembled. When we bought DD1 first bike we had to build it and put all the sticker on:mad:

    Anyway rant over :D

Just popped online to check on this shooting in Virginia... I was a little concerned as I have long term friends who live there and I couldn't remember the name of the town - Thankfully she is about 200 miles away from it :D Not too sure about some of my other friends, but I'm pretty sure there was only the one in Virginia.

I tackled the understairs cupboard today and well more than 27 things were flung :rotfl: Took me 3 hours, including numerous trips upstairs to sort DD out who was supposed to having a rest  Looks much better under there now. Just a shoebox worth of bits (mainly padlock keys) to sort out now, plus an A2 folder of school work belonging to DD which I'm going to sort out.

Anyways time to update my list :

    I've also:
    • hung up load of washing from last night on airers (don't like putting my undies on display for the neighbours)
    • washed a load of DH's jeans, now hung on line
    • wm going again with a load of my darks, now on line
    • also washed a light load, needs to go out but weather gone a bit iffy
    • unpacked DH's bag from his working away last week, seems though he didn't touch it all weekend
    • remembered we needed bread while i was out, and also got a couple of reduced bargains, and remembered to pick up some flour, so i could make my banana loaf today....
    • opened all of upstairs windows to get some cool air circulating and to try to cool it down again.
    • fed cats x 2
    • had a fight with one of the cats (he grabbed one of the legs of the jeans i was hanging out, and wouldn't let go. Stupid cat)
    • got all washing in, put washing line away

Wohoooo I managed to delegate something. DPs moaning on for a PS3 I know it's only a matter of time before he buys one. Anyway I said 'Until the DVDs and games that are all over are sorted what's the point' So he roped the kids in to sort it this evening :D He's actually been quite a pain with it and stole my labels for the kitchen to label ones without labels. But at least it's now sorted :D

Oh and the bonus, I said as he's buying that as a treat can I have the new American style fridge freezer I want he said yes :D:D grinning like a cheshire cat so going to pick one tomorrow maybe.

Tracyg thanks, still croaky and coughing but voice back a bit, much to the kids disgust. Sorry to hear you haven't had a good day.

maralum - that is nesting, definately, unfortunately as mine were born early I got the nesting stage after! Health visitor was less than impressed when she came to see me as I was on top of the kitchen bench, on a stool after having a c- section 5 days before!

Best go get the boys stuff read for tomorrow. Oh and there is the washing up from dinner. TTFN

  • right well i spent another 1.5 hours this week cleaning the oven! maybe next week i'l actually be able to tackle the rest of the kitchen, or maybe the oven will have magiced itself another inch of grime on the bottom - where does it all come from?
Living room is fairly tidy for once so looking forward to actually getting some cleaning done in there for a change tomorrow.
