bebee nice to see you, last time I spoke to you you were really under the weather, hope things are looking up a bit for you x

maralum You are doing way more than you should be, and more than I ever did when I was preggers lol, take it easy x

Think I did all that was on my list (sort of, I can't remember tbh with you) so just the tea to do and take some extra rubbish to stick in OH's bin, then just potter later, hoping there's a good film on cause I'm just in the mood.

    Laters lovelies! x

Well, im happy - ive not been feeling 100% today, but ive managed to walk to and from school both this morning and this afternoon, get the bathroom and toilet cleaned, kitchen, oven and kitchen floor cleaned and the downstairs loo as well!!! The fact Lo slept for an hour and a half helped, and that i dont need to make dinner tonight (we are out).
I still want to whip the hoover around downstairs, but thats one of my 'end of day' jobs (with so many children in and out, no point in doing it until they have gone) and make the packed lunches - but until then, im sitting down for a bit!!!

    Quick update:-

Washing dry and picked off line
    Pizza dough in BM
    Salad made and in fridge
    Downstairs loo done

Clearing out shed......em, ahem.....opened door and thought cannot be bothered so not done. It is tidy in there but am sure there are things that could be thrown, recycled. The main mess is tools so maybe one for DH list at the weeked!

Spent time with the girls doing drawing, had picnic lunch in the garden and paddling pool out this pm. Both in lounge playing lego with little girl from next door. Got appointment for DD1 to go for her pre-op appointment at the day clinic, came through much quicker than I was expecting but not sure how long we will have to wait for the actual op (Grommitts). So next Wednesday we will hopefully be given the date.

Off to make tom base for pizza. Nice to have a full house again!

Lots of people busy beavering away clearing those lists today!

Managed to bake some fairy cakes before leaving to collect DS today and sweep the front path. Hardly ever had time to do extra baking pre-flying, always one of those things I wanted to 'fit in' as it were.

Got the letter posted and the storage baskets bought.

Also nipped into Primark and bought a cuddly winter jumper for my friends DS reduced down to £1 and a pair of pink PJ's for me reduced to £2. I'll get DH to buy those off of me and they can be stashed away for Christmas! Does anyone else do that?

That's a great idea! My DH never knows what to buy me, so I always end up helping him in the rush up to christmas or risk a very unhappy DH. Mind if I pinch that one Tinsel?

Well, oven shelves scrubbed, boy played with, floor cleaned and washing done. Now off to start on dinner. May be naughty and pop to chippy, but is very expensive! Will see what the boys fancy. ;)

    Hello all!!

Back from a wonderful week in the breathtaking beauty of Scotland. Spent some wonderful time with my lovely sister and her family. It was a much needed break I'll tell you.

Mother seems to be recovering okay, and is now back in her own home.

The house seemed in a reasonable state when I got home, until I looked a little closer. DH had tidied up but that was about it. There had been NO cleaning done, and as expected, the kids that stayed at home had not showered, and only changed their clothes once in the five days that I was gone. Dust, gunge and grime everywhere.
He had kept the washing up to date, which couldn't have been hard as the kids wore the same clothes practically all week!!

Anyway... I did a few of the nastiest bits over the weekend, and had a good go today. I did sit in the sun a lot this afternoon as well, as it's predicted to be the last nice day of the week.

The iron is heating up as I type, and there's a big pile waiting to be done.

Today, i cleaned the kitchen, toilet, downstairs floor, dusted, cleaned windowsils and did the usual stuff of preparing food and entertain the children. (oh and spent the morning at work obsiously)

The bunch is now off outside with their inline skates together with dad so that gives me half an hour peace. And he wonders why I won't come along!! geesh... as if the magic elves will clean up while I'm away.

Honestly, he's a good man, but he just doesn't see it.

Oh well,.. trying to get back into the swing of thing which is not easy after being spoiled all week by my sister.

My youngest (who came with me) goes around all day saying: "Totally radical dude!!" and "Emily do jobby!" :D:D:D which are the English phrases she learned while in Scotland.

I'm off to do the ironing.

Just got internet back on. I guessed it would be kitchen today and have beavered away but as DSs and friends don't go back to school til tomorrow I don't think I am winning. Dining room was done yesterday and downstairs loos about to be done.

Maralum, we pick up things we like in sales and then keep them for Christmas and b'days. I usually forget too so still get a surprise!!
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

  • Did it! And had a lovely day with the boys, took them to the library and they behaved (DS2 is obsessed with fire extinguishers and theirs is right at his level...), then to the park and they still behaved and even left to go back home when I asked them to - and they ate all their tea! DS1 said that DS2 is now his BF, and kissed him goodnight tonight. I'm SURE they must be plotting something....
Anyway - got everything on the list done, plus got the sitting room cleared on the dance-of-the-27-veils (as expected it was nearer to 3 figures than 2!), rang the Childminding Association to ask about that, sorted out a meeting with handyman to decorate the flat DH is renovating and was generally busy, but calm and totally on top of things - even managed a 20-minute power walk pushing DS2 before toddler group this morning!
Am now about to steam through a huge pile of ironing so I'm clear when I am given a stack by a very disorganised but lovely friend tomorrow. I would tell her about this forum - but then she wouldn't need me to do her ironing - and then I'd be stuck at Christmas (a digital radio is calling me!).
Maralum: I've had to buy my own presents for the last 3 years now. When we were both earning it was so much easier - I would go to my jeweller (how smart is that!!) and choose 3 pieces I liked, then graded them - then DH would go in the next week and 'choose' my present!
Those were the days..... last Christmas it was a teapot! :rotfl:
    Is it home time yet?
