little_woman wrote: »I am sorry if I offend anyone. I don't mean to, but unfortunetly this really is illegal parking, not just plain inconsiderate. When the flats were first built 7 years ago, and problems started immediately, the police confirmed it was illegal, but because it was a civil matter they would not get involved. When I first started to use clampers, the first car they clamped, the person arranged to have the camp illegally removed. It was witnessed by one of the flat owners who reported it to the police. After a lot of discussion the police recovered the clamp which was returned and the personal concerned agreed never to park there again, and the police agreed not to pursue the matter. If the flat owners do it (which they don't) I have the power to take steps to take their flats from them. This is a last resort and not something I would do lightly without giving them lots of opportunity to stop anything getting that far. I get letters and calls from the flat owners who are unhappy that the covenants on the property are being broken by people who don't even live there.
I have always tried to be reasonable, and find other ways to resolve the problems, but I am talking about repeat offenders not someone making an innocent mistake for the first time.
This is nonsense from start to finish.0 -
Where are these flats? Sealand?
Please post a link to google earth so we can see under which legislation your signs confirm you can impose fines, evict householders/ tenants.
I await your perculicious response.Originally Posted by shortcrust

Well that's a contradiction.
If its illegal it is no longer a civil matter but a legal matter for the police? surely?0 -
Just read this thread from the start. It would appear that inconsiderate parking isn't little woman's only problem.0

The laws have been updated recently to make clamping illegal.
Everyone here knows that. Did you use clampers? Idiotic idea to use knuckledragging crim scum to keep a car in the way. :mad:little_woman wrote: »parking eye v somerfield failed as they were "dishonest" and used "police like letters, falshoods etc" in 2005

Methinks you doth protest too much! No newbie knows this much...:plittle_woman wrote: »There are No Parking Signs on the Walls of the Bin area which the hard standing is next to. When I have photographed cars illegally parked in the past, the signs can be clearly seen in the photograph of the Car.
I arrange a formal warning the first time someone parks illegally (Note left with an offer to let them have a copy of the photograh as proof of illegal parking and a warning if they park illegally again there will be a fine etc next time) . It is only if they repeat the offence I would take it further with a fine and then court.
Yes sure you do...'formal warning' (a bit of paper!)...'illegal parking' (nope)...'offence' (nope)...a 'fine' (nope you can't do that)...Court...good luck with that. :rotfl:
And you reckon you are a 'little woman' as well. And pigs might fly. They say Zenith have identity issues...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
